I really like David Allen for some reason I can't figure, but this is about Browne getting himself back into contention for a bigger fight, possibly Parker? Browne should win ko/tko mid late.

I’m the opposite, I don’t really like Allen and can’t put a finger on why!

I guess for me I wonder how good he could've been if properly managed and trained. Also, he also seems to always come to fight anyone, anytime, so he's got that.

I don't get to see him much in interviews and such as he's UK regional and I'm in the US. I'll have to see if I can find some promos with him to see what you see.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑21 Jan 2019, 13:49Ah for me, I think he’s terrible!oogiebe wrote: ↑21 Jan 2019, 13:46LMAO! I don’t rate him one bit, he’s barely above area level. Still, I hope he earns good moolah, as I do with all fighters. I just don’t know what it is about him I don’t really like, maybe it’s acting the fool a bit!

There's something very likable about him.mickey1975 wrote: ↑21 Jan 2019, 14:03And popularity. Second most popular on IFLTV and got as good a reception as Boomer did in Manchester in November.
Re: David Allen v Lucas Browne - 13th April
You are right, hes very durable, but could test a young up and comer who could easily gas after 4 or 5 rounds. I dont think Browne will knock Allen out. Even though Browne has a great record to look at and he doesnt like fighting genuine world class opposition, his last 2 wins tells you that.
I'm on the fence on this one but suspect Browne will out work Allen.
BTW why is Allen suspended by BBBoC?
Re: David Allen v Lucas Browne - 13th April
A good clash of tough, but not really good competitors. However, Browne seems to be better and even has more convincing stuff in his resume. Gotta favor Browne.

This is a pretty close fight. Allen can win. Browne isn’t good.

Confirmed now.
Re: David Allen v Lucas Browne - 13th April
This will be a plodding slugfest. Whoever wants it most will win.
Re: David Allen v Lucas Browne - 13th April
Question of who will gas first I feel. It will be a ding dong fight. I would normally tip Browne, but he did look out of gas early vs Whyte.
Allen's speech is ringing some alarm bells now.

The Browne who fought Chagev wins easily. Now I'm not too sure.
Re: David Allen v Lucas Browne - 13th April
This is what I've been thinking as well. I could never picture Dave Allen, in great shape or not, being able to beat Chagaev. Browne clearly has the higher ceiling, but if he couldn't be bothered to get into shape for the Whyte fight then what's to say he'll bother for this?

Eddie needs to employ a guy full time to go pick up dave allen, take him to the gym and make sure he trains. allen is a cult hero, and is decent, but lacks any professional discipline. If he can beat brown, Then surely he can get the price fight, witch is a big fight, then if he wins that he is onto some real pretty decent fights. but he has to get fit.

Agree with what has been said about Allen. He's missing that discipline and I get the impression from listening to what he has to say that he likes to be surrounded by his own crowd. He had the chance with Booth and declined it. It says a lot.
I think he'll beat Browne actually, certainly the one that showed up against Whyte. I agree with what others have said, it's likely to be a battle of two big lads plodding forward.

Who knows why he didn’t go with Booth? Maybe he’s comfortable in the north. Mick Marsden knows the game, ex pro, managed John Murray, Stu Hall, and loads more.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑25 Jan 2019, 05:39 Agree with what has been said about Allen.
