Fight between Sione Asipeli and Omar Guttierez - May 27, 1998

Dear Editors,

I generally maintain the wiki pages for the major North American titles (NABA, NABF and NABO) and try to ensure that the information in the wiki matches the database.

Recently, a mention was added to the database that the fight between Sione Asipeli and Omar Guttierez of May 27, 1998 was for the NABO Light Heavyweight title. I don't believe that information is correct.

First, I've been unable to find any evidence that the fight was the NABO title. Second, the weights listed for the fight (194 and 197 lbs) don't correspond to a light heavyweight fight. In fact, neither Asipeli nor Gutierrez ever had a fight at 175 lbs or below.

In light of the above, I would respectfully ask that the database be corrected and the mention of the NABO title be removed.

It was for the vacant WBO NABO cruiserweight title according to the Arizona Republic. The weightclass has been corrected.

Dear Wouter,

I've added the fight to the wiki, but something still feels off. The WBO and NABO only went to a 200 lbs limit for the Cruiserweight category in 2003-04.
