Current WBC Silver heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte has now rejected his third offer for a potential rematch with boxing heavyweight Anthony Joshua.

It has been reported that an initial bid of near £3 million was made before it was then followed up by an increased offer of over £4m.

According to World Boxing News, promoter Eddie Hearn has now raised the offer even more, with stakes rising to upwards of £5m of which has now reportedly been rejected.

Looks more and more like AJ/Miller will be the fight.

He was saying something yesterday about wanting 50-50.

It's kind of amusing to watch though, as it means you have Hearn who's used to always getting his own way, flailing all over the place trying to find someone to fight Joshua for the money on offer.

Ortiz would probably accept a minimum offer, but he for some reason is never in the discussion.

I'm referring to the opening offers as being low-balled, and based on it being a title bout. Whether we agree or not, both Miller and Whyte (more so) weren't happy with opening bids. The whole thing is utterly ridiculous.

IDK if the 50/50 ask is true or not. I haven't seen that in print. Hearn should just introduce a new name to the mix and Whyte and/or Miller will snap to attention.

AJ should just fight mandatories and unifications from now on. Gets all this bullshit out of the way. Ensures everyone earns their shot and stops them from claiming AJ is ducking or lowballing if there is an enforced split. Whoever doesn't want it (AJ or challenger) is clearly ducking...

If this is true then I couldn’t care less if Whyte gets a shot or not now, he’s a contender that’s been offered a shot a the title for millions but it’s less than he wants, jeez man, take the damn shot, bank the money and if you win it’s happy days, it’s pathetic, the champ calls the shots so just deal with it if you really think you can win.

That would be too easy. LOL! Actually Hearn and AJ are so used to having total control over the division championship, now with Fury/Wilder the focus has come off AJ, and I don't think they are easily accepting that. Pick one guy and make the f'ng fight already.
