Williams makes the first defence of his British Middleweight title against Mullender on the Dubois/Cojanu card this Friday, solid defence for Williams who looked excellent stopping Heffron last time out, really took Heffron apart and broke him down and was in total control and looks strong at the weight
Mullender uber tough, game as they come and never stops coming forward, had the 2 wars with Markham, lost the first then won the rematch, he gave the fella Ben Capps a beating in his last fight, Capps resolve was probably the most impressive thing in that fight
This fight should gel well, Mullender will bring it but Williams loves a scrap and isn't afraid to mix it up, if this was Williams first fight at the weight then i'd maybe make it a closer fight but after seeing how well he dealt with Heffron I can see Williams outboxing Mullender and stopping him late as well

Re: Liam Williams vs Joe Mullender
Williams seems much improved under Ingle, he has developed the skill of getting his shots off, quick combos, then pivoting and getting away........going for a walk.....
I see williams dishing out a beatdown and the ref stepping in in about the 6th round.

il be very surprised if Mullender hears the final bell. He's a very tough man but a few levels below Williams

Horrendous refereeing from Bob Williams there, there was no need for Mullender to take that finishing right hand, it was more or less a free shot for Williams and he landed clean, Williams looked quality again at the weight, landed some sickening body shots and showed great variety and accuracy to put Mullender down first time, he's improving all the time
Bit of a trait that with Ingle fighters.......

Dom Ingle is doing a great job with Williams.
Williams is exciting and is developing well. He has a bit of style to him, can bang and is solid. The slightly unconventional and more refined Ingle style seems to be a perfect fit for the lad.
