Should Hatton be on the bill at Mandalay?

This would be perfect opportunity for him to get some much needed US TV exposure on the same bill as Cotto and if they both perform good then surely Showtime would push for this fight to happen asap as it could end up being a classic between two young hungry guys at the top of their game.

If Showtime wants this fight then it will happen unless someone fcuks it up

I know what you mean but lets face it, Cotto's next victim Bailey isnt exactly top drawer but if him and Hatton look good in their prospective bouts it would heat things up over the pond for this fight to happen and a big £££ matchup would be made easily due to the showtime connection.

Just my humble opinion though.

Cotto vs Hatton is the fight we need to see. Forget about talk of a Kosta fight as in my opinion he will go in against more deserving opponents such as Gatti, Harris, Spinks etc

There's no Showtime connection. Cotto typically fights on HBO, and theoretically, they were close to signing him to a deal (if they've not already). I don't believe Hatton has any official deal with Showtime anymore as they've moved to a system based on fights rather than particular fighters.

I suspect the US public will get to see Hatton in the lengthy pre-fight preamble they have - but only if it's a Stewart type performance.

He should fight on the undercard of williams fight. there you can have a chance to meet cotto over there to sell the fight to the public or even the winner fo zoo - mitchell will be there to. no doubt Hatton will make more monry fighting in this country.

I think hatton needs to go over the pond to fight because for many americans he is over hyped with a paded record and they have little respect for him, further more he dosen't have the market credibility that Plank Warren would suggest he dose.

If hatton is as hungry as he says he is then he would surly want to go out to the states and prove he is worthy of taking on the best fighters. However it would largely appear that he dosen't cair about proving him self to the rest of the world and would rather beat up tomato cans for addoring city fans. Then occasionaly he will talk about a big fight to regain the interest of the boxing public befor pulling out at the last muinnet because the other guy wants paying.

In my view Witter is far more ambitiouse than hatton is and just hasn't had the breaks occasionaly due to the actions of rivel promoters.

I think it would be great if Hatton appeared on this bill, about time he went back over to the staes. I'm sure the USA fans would love his style of fighting. Not sure if they would be impressed by the WBU bauble though.

Even a non title fight at Light-Welter or Welterweight would be good exposure for him.

I won't happen though.
