Wlad: "If offered $100 million"
Wlad: "If offered $100 million"
APRIL 10, 2019:
Wlad is in the news again. Stating he'd think about any offer that starts with $100 million.
"You never say never," he told SID. "My status has not changed so far. There are always rumours and I take them as a compliment. It's nice if the fans really want to see that. I'm pleased the community and the sport miss me."
I may miss him, to some degree, but I don't want him coming back. I've had enough of this game starting last year in April.

Lennox Lewis has been saying the same thing for years.
There must be something about $100 million that concentrates ex HW champions minds.
I too do not want to see Wladimir return.
The two guys who ended his career are still on top and they'd do the same again.

Anyone would love to earn that much money, but where can all that money come from? No chance Wlad generates that much money over even 10 fights, so how can it even be justified?

The world of money can be even more strange and murky than the world of boxing.Fightnight Scores wrote: β12 Apr 2019, 05:35 Anyone would love to earn that much money, but where can all that money come from? In any case I suspect all these mindbogglingly huge figures must be related to potential future generated incomes as opposed to cast iron promises come what may.

Re: Wlad: "If offered $100 million"
I can't imagine he needs the money. Why not continue to live well while he's still healthy rather than risk that, I don't understand.
Re: Wlad: "If offered $100 million"
I love to see wlad come back and show Fury how big money is made. You don't make money on fluke wine and go into hiding 2 years

Re: Wlad: "If offered $100 million"
If offered $100 million along with whatever else he asked for along the way.
The man is without a doubt one of the most feared heavyweights of an era prior to AJ/Wilder winning their belts at the top of the heavyweight division.
But, he is also one of the smartest men in the division, Does he need to have 1 more fight - no, would he risk his health - no , would he gamble against an up and coming heavyweight - no, would he travel to a country where he wouldn't be the fan favourite or have the crowd behind him - once again, NO.
He would have the choice of Venue, likely influence the choice of opponent and without a doubt would be part of one of his 'potential' future opponents events (Wilder, AJ and Fury) just to get even more attention.
Honestly though, he has every right to demand that if promoters are willing to give it to him, he's earned it with his legacy and if he wanted to risk one more fight, he deserves to have the final say in any choice.

Must kill them that Floyd actually got over 100 million to come back against a guy making his pro debut. UnrealSyntax Error wrote: β12 Apr 2019, 05:32 Lennox Lewis has been saying the same thing for years.

Too true. I watched the "fight" but no way on God's Earth would I have paid to watch it, neither before the event and certainly not after. Some people have more money than sense.

Maybe he went broke on Hayden Panetierre.
Those Hollywood actresses are always high maintenance. Wouldn't be surprised if she drained him.
And they do have a small child together. Child support is undoubtedly costly.
Yes, Klitschko earned a lot of money. But there's no telling how much is left.

Re: Wlad: "If offered $100 million"
Heck! I, too, will fight any heavyweight, champion or no champion, for the tune of 100 million dollars!!!
I'm at about 185 lbs, but I could easily get to 195 if need be, to take on any heavyweight that will offer me 100 million dollars in cash, to fight him!
BRING IT ON!!!

My funeral won't cost much so it would leave my wife a fortune

I'm in good shape, but I'm 50. I always said I'd fight Tyson or else for 50k + all medical bills. Now it would be 168 since I stopped lifting.
Re: Wlad: "If offered $100 million"
Or that!
