Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
Jarrell Miller, who was denied a license by New York boxing officials over a failed test on Wednesday, has now failed two more tests for other banned substances.
As BS.com reported earlier today, a second failed drug test has come to light with Miller testing positive for human growth hormone (HGH). That test was taken on March 31.
Miller's initial failed test was reported earlier this week, with the banned substance GW1516 coming up from a test taken on March 20. GW1516 is used to assist in fat loss or as an endurance booster.
According to ESPN, Miller's third test, also taken on March 31, came up positive for EPO - which is increases the oxygen-carrying capacity of blood, and also for GW1516.
Miller previously served a nine-month ban from the California State Athletic Commission after testing positive for methylhexaneamine when kickboxing in 2014.
Promoter Eddie Hearn, who handles Joshua, said he was scrambling to find an alternative opponent.

Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
He denied the first failed test.. but he’s had 2 completely different fails since!
Shame was looking forward to it.
Being a huge fight as well, they would have done loads of drug testing.

The laughable thing he said was that he never "knowingly" took PED's. I hope he's banned for life.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Apr 2019, 19:50 He denied the first failed test.. but he’s had 2 completely different fails since!

Jesus. What an idiot. Blew the opportunity of his life.
Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
I'm LMFAO as I've never liked Miller and now he'll get what he deserves. Dumbarse cheat! Shoutout to Eddie: Should have given Dill what he asked for.
Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
Apparently this is Miller's first full VADA programme.
So that casts a shadow over his recent career doesn't it?
I wonder if he was spending it up large on the pretence of getting this payday.
Another HW pro who goes broke?

Reverse all his fights results. Just like they do in USA College football when there are violations.

That'll be the secret of the big man's workrate, then. I find it amusing that most boxers probably still consider their opponents cheats if they're on different types of gear.
‘Joshua's doing strength cycles — I only do fat loss and endurance!’
‘Miller's on EPO for stamina — I only do strength cycles!’
One has power but gets tired...

Is this a lot worse than That which Alvarez got pretty much let off with?
Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
Alvarez is very different though. He generates a lot more money.

Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
That’s what I was thinking but not knowing much about the different drugs and effect they have, I just wondered how the two offences compared
Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
Miller has done an interview with an apology, made a mistake, will correct the mistake, learn from it and humbled.
Failed a test five years ago and served a ban, but not sorry for that?
Failed a test earlier this week and came up with excuses, so was not sorry for that.
Failed another two tests, had no choice but to own up, and is now sorry and learned some things about himself and now humbled? Oh please ban this prick for life.

Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
Although I think Canelo is a cheat and knowingly took assistance, there is still an element of doubt as it could have come from contaminated meat. Miller is a walking pharmacy with piss melting the bottleTerminator666 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2019, 03:45 That’s what I was thinking but not knowing much about the different drugs and effect they have, I just wondered how the two offences compared
Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
I do not think he has put any money into him. He is representing the other side, again. And also connected to the same streaming service, but not put his money into the lad.
Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
That’s the big issue here - the drug testing in the US compared to UK is terrible.
They said the Vada programme for this fight was £40,000 - so that’s not going to work for every fight but you have to ask serious questions just how much gear Miller’s been on beforehand to fail 3 tests in 2 weeks his system must be loaded full of GW/HGH/EPO - he’s a walking junkie.

Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
Miller's a first class prick, a content drug user and attempted murderer IMO, he can go die in his sleep as far as I'm concerned, may seem harsh but its about time these guys get what they deserve, lifetime ban should be the least of his worries, criminal charges should be brought in for the likes of these scumbags
Ive always agreed with Eddie when it comes to drug cheats, he's in favour of throwing the book at them but gets a lot of stick for working with cheating bastards, frustrating as what can a manager/promoter do??
There's no way a successful promoter can get by these days without having to deal with a PED cheat at some point, although Hearn must take some blame, he signed Galahad and he's got Browne headlining tonight
If these promoters cared about PED use as much as they claim then they'd get together to combat it, along with fighters/managers ducking fights, its a cancer of the sport

Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
He's came out today and admitted he cheated and took the substances willingly. Ban the guy for a minimum of 3 years. Make an example out of him.
Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
I would have no problem with Miller being made an example of, but it will need to be consistent, you can't have one rule for moneymakers and the rest carry the can.
I would like to see 3 yrs for first offence and a lifetime 2nd time round.
It needs to be enforced though otherwise it is pointless

Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
It really should be more in line with athletics in terms of how they deal with drug cheats, although the system there is far from perfect. The problem is that the top guys fight twice a year, so a one year ban isn’t anywhere near effective enough. Alvarez essentially only missed one fight and, if I recall correctly, took advantage of the situation to have some surgery he needed.
There also needs to be uniformity amongst the sanctioning bodies how they deal with cheats.

Re: Jarrell Miller Fails Third Drug Test
You have to remember Miller is from the 'street'. That means that he believes crime pays - he's seen examples all his life. He's from a world where lying, cheating , thieving is routine. In this world if you DON'T lie, cheat or steal you're simply stupid. His only regret will be that he was caught.
More importantly, for the future, is the understanding that ALL those around should have known what he was doing - trainer, nutritionist, sparring partners, gym owner, etc etc. You can't go into a training camp for a multi million dollar fight without those surrounding you knowing, or strongly suspecting, you are using PEDs. I would find that a given. Of course no one in the camp is going to walk out when so much money is riding on it.
Thank goodness Hearn insisted on VADA testing,
