Can I just say how f*cking stupid this is. Any stoppage be it a stoppage on the feet or a corner stoppage or a Doctor stoppage is a Knockout and recorded as a knockout? All knockouts are just recorded the same regardless of method? Just stupid, and needlessly confusing when nobody else does it that way. I hope they cut this BS soon.

seems to be a common misconception that a ko means only that you were counted out or out cold, when was that made fact?

A TKO or Doctor/Corner stoppage still goes on the record as a KO, but it's usually noted as a TKO or whatever the case may be on record. California making the ruling that all KO's are simply ruled KO no matter the method they occurred is just dumb that's all I'm saying.

There's lots of variables in Boxing, and it makes things unclear when only 1 state rules things that way, but nowhere else does.

Getting sparked out for 10 and let's say breaking your arm and not being able to continue are massively different to me, and should hopefully be noted by a commission as such.

Hasn't this always been the case with the CSAC?

Rather strange. I prefer to se TKO's and RTD's.

Maybe it's their way to simplify.

It's California. They want to be 'fair' and not distinguish as to not hurt someone's feelings.

I didn't noticed any differences in rules in European countries, i believe that Russia, UK, Germany, Poland, Spain, Denmark etc all have the same rules, and i think Asian countries like Japan have just the same rules as European countries. it's only the US States that have the differences between them while the rest of the world uses universal rules.
