I like this sort of fight, don't have them much no more because it's usually for a vacant WBO title!
Reminds me of the old days bringing over decent Americans in 10 rounders, a fight the home boy should win but a banana skin and the sort of fight that demonstrates if you are for real or not.

Note, a lot worse fights have been made for the vacant WBO

Really good fight and if he wins fairly comfortably should lead into the avanesyan fight in autumn. Can’t complain with this guy though.

I'm picking this to be the best fight of the card.
Great exposure for Kelly, Americans need to see this guy in action.

His fight that was a Draw he should have got the decision - was unlucky.

Kelly is a brilliant young fighter, I just wish he would ease off with the showboating. He did it in his last two fights and took needless punishment for it.

Hopefully against good opponents like this he will remain focused and get the job done in style.

Fully expect this to be the pick of the fights on the AJ/Ruiz show this weekend, solid step up for Kelly in his 10th pro outing. Robinson boxed & moved quite nicely at times against the pressure of Kavaliauskas & could have picked up a victory on another day, however Josh will provide a completely different style for him to deal with this time out obviously. Totally agree regarding the showboating, not necessary & if he continues with it against higher calibre opposition he will get badly punished for it.

Is this the first southpaw Kelly has faced as a pro too? Can't remember another but I may be wrong.

Looking forward to this fight interesting match up but just hope it's not a snooze, Kelly flatters to deceive sometimes and Robinson is tall and awkward

Josh Kelly (9-0, 6 KOs), Sunderland, England, 146¼ pounds vs. Ray Robinson (24-3-1, 12 KOs), Philadelphia, 146 pounds, 10 rounds for Kelly’s WBA international welterweight title.

Great odds on Kelly to get the KO. RR seems a bit chinny and hangs his chin out to dry, i think he'll eat some big shots from a sharper fighter here.

Fight I looking forward most on the card . I think Kelly needs the step up as he seems to zone out and show boats when not need at times. He needs to be in real fights. He is a talent Kelly .got a lot of ingredients to make a champion. But ain't had his chin or heart tested to date. Expect a Kelly win .if I was him would not worry about putting on a show. Just win

The majority draw here has gone a bit under the radar due to what happened in the main event.
Thoughts?

Robinson won the fight by a couple of rounds. Kelly looked a one trick pony with terrible stamina. No game plan. Just very amateurish.

I didn't see the fight, so you feel he has found his level?
Robinson is a good fighter but short of being one of the top boys.

Kelly won it for me but he was exposed as being a potshotter. Not sure what the deal is, maybe he has too much muscle or something and can't sustain a decent punch output, because his overrall movement, hand speed and shot repertoire are all there.

The punch power above domestic doesn’t look to be there.....his speed looked vicious in early fights but last 2-3 fights he’s lacked any snap in his punches.

I thought Kelly looked sharp early on but seemed to slow down completely in the second half.

The draw was fair, a round or two either way would have been fine.

It was a sizable step up, not what I expected for his US debut.

I have a funny feeling Robinson was initially considered for Brook and when he pulled out the card Hearn offered the fight to Booth who had to take it as he has been blowing smoke up Kelly's backside for months.
