Joe Joyce Fact or Fiction on Opponents

Post by oogiebe »

Boxing Squared had a great vid on the current questions and rumors on Joe Joyce and his TBA opponent.
Parker; Povetkin; Chisora mentioned today as getting offers. We have no idea if that's true or if the offers were any good.

Why would they fight as an undercard to two prospects? Surely any offer wouldn't be enough for any of the three except maybe Chisora.

Are they trying to hype Joyce up by mentioning these fighters like we heard regarding Ortiz and then just have him fight someone lower on the food chain who doesn't provide any real threat. Also mentions that Kabayel is allowed to have a voluntary fight before facing Joyce, so NO DUCK there (mentioned Otto Wallin. Confused about the mandatory on this title). All talk. Keeping Joyce stuck at his current level.

At this point, anyone who accepts would only have a six week camp. So I suspect another less than stellar opponent.

From what I’ve seen of Joyce as a pro I would favor every fighter named in this thread to beat him. He’s abysmal.

 I can understand. Something makes him effective though. Big question marks.

Very well worded. He is effective, despite being absolutely terrible. He’s the slowest bigger name HW I’ve ever seen, bumping Vladimir Virchis down to second. Too bad it’s not ten years ago, that would have been a fun slow motion fight.
