Joyce vs Bryant Jennings
Looks like the match is being made , Jennings is coming off a 12th round loss to Rivas, so will have to see what he has left. Jennings is always in shape, and will give us some idea what happens when a boxer punches back against Joe.

its a nice step up for joyce
the guys he fought so far were pretty much punch bags by the time he fought them (well ustinov always was one lol) but jennings was pretty much even with rivas prior to the ending. he should have enough left to ask questions at the very least

Fair points. We'll get a good look at Joyce here. I don't think Jennings does well under pressure, so I'd expect a Joyce KO. I'm starting to just accept that despite his shortcomings, Joyce does get the job done.jamamb wrote: ↑29 May 2019, 13:04 its a nice step up for joyce

Good fight fair play to them. Regardless of losing his last fight there’s no indication that Jennnings is shot to sh1t like Ustinov is/was and he’s got decent notice here.

Add a poll.
Will be interesting to see what the forum thinks.

Re: Joyce vs Bryant Jennings
Jennings will ask questions of Joyce, it will be a good fight but eventually Joyce will end him I think. Definitely a live opponent.

Re: Joyce vs Bryant Jennings
I think Joyce wears him down, Jennings won’t cope well with the constant pressure and volume of punches...
Re: Joyce vs Bryant Jennings
Good fight, Jennings has come up short a couple times, but he has been a solid contender for a long time.
Joyce should get the win but Jennings has the skill and experience to make life difficult for him if it goes into the second half.

Re: Joyce vs Bryant Jennings
Jennings is a decent gatekeeper type and more than capable of pulling off an upset and it should give us a much more accurate picture of where Joyce is at. I think it's good matchmaking. Even as one of Joyce's most vocal supporters on here I can see this as a potential banana skin. A very good learning fight should he get past him.

Jennings stick and move for several rounds, but the first time he's tagged, he'll crumble into dust.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑29 May 2019, 16:37 Jennings is a decent gatekeeper type and more than capable of pulling off an upset and it should give us a much more accurate picture of where Joyce is at. Surprising matchup.
Jennings must still be considered a threat
Does he have the stamina to outlast Joyce?
Joyce doesn't have the punch power to blast Jennings out but if Jennings gets to the midway and isn't likely to win he may bail out around 8 or 9

Jennings is only notable for being part of one of Wladimir's many stinkers. Joyce won't be cautious like Wlad; he'll walk him down and work him over without much bother, grind out the stoppage.

Jennings doesn't have the fire power to hold Joe off, so it'll be a one sided beat down IMO.

Great fight for Joyce.
I know he’s getting on in age but still to face someone like Jennings after only 9 fights deserves kudos.

Bought my tickets for this today. Just the two headline fights it’s worth it. There’s loads of tickets left. I don’t know what that says considering these are decent competitive fights.

Probably people who know the reputation for fights falling through.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑30 May 2019, 12:40 Bought my tickets for this today. Just the two headline fights it’s worth it. There’s loads of tickets left. I don’t know what that says considering these are decent competitive fights.

Of course. It's a fornicating Warren card. Either somebody will get injured or it'll overrun into the early hours and it'll be a complete ballache getting home.jameswilson wrote: ↑30 May 2019, 15:24 Probably people who know the reputation for fights falling through.
I'd better get the other people to pay me for the tickets quickly before something terrible happens.
