Nothing wrong with the pay day for being a late challenger who was relatively unranked.

Will be interesting to see what he's had to sign re the rematch though to get the initial fight. I'm sure it will come out in the next few weeks.

If it's in the UK, Joshua is still the star. He'll undoubtedly receive more.

That’s the thing with Whyte he wanted 9m region - I know he’s improved since 1st Joshua fight but he still got emptied in that one.

He’s been No1 for 2 years and is still as far away as ever from getting WBC shot - probably even further now.

Probably as much as he made for all / the majority of his other fights combined. All for a voluntary shot at 3 of the big 4 belts. He'll now get an even bigger payday for the rematch, a fight he'll now be favourite in. Win that and he's got big money options with WIlder/Fury. Even if you feel £5m is low (it isn't) he's got a minimum 1 more even bigger payday from it. Not bad for a fight that didn't have to happen.
