Zab Judah probably not in a coma
I just saw this on Twitter, apparently he’s fighting for his life.

Good thing he’s not in a coma.Controversial wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 11:41 I just saw this on Twitter, apparently he’s fighting for his life.
Re: Zab Judah in a coma
It should be forbidden for all fighters over 40 years to compete.
Re: Zab Judah in a coma
May Zab fully recover.
Re: Zab Judah in a coma
I just don't get it. Very sad.

Yh and guys like Mayweather and Even Pac now.
Plenty of boxers can still compete at the top level after 40. Judah obviously had his best years a long time ago.
Should be more to not license them in the first place. More checks.
Re: Zab Judah in a coma
Hopefully he’s okay long term and hangs ‘em up now. Fantastic news if the non-coma story is true.
As I understand he’s done a lot of spar work whilst not being that active fight-wise so there’s a hidden danger there...

Re: Zab Judah in a coma
Just found out about this a minute ago when I was looking for info on comatose Mexican boxer Felipe Orucuta.
Stunning as I was under the impression that he was fine after being stopped Friday night.
But there are tweets that indicate Judah isn't nearly as bad as some reports suggest.
He may even be fully conscious.
Let's hope for the best here.

Re: Zab Judah in a coma
There are guys in their 20s who are more at risk for serious injury than a 40ish Zab Judah.
It's the level of competency that's important, not the number of years.

Re: Zab Judah in a coma
its the younger guy actually in the coma
Re: Zab Judah in a coma
Zab Judah Hospitalized But In Good Spirits Following KO Loss. Apparently his situation was a bit exaggerated.

To the people saying Judah shouldn't be able to fight past 40. I think in theory it's a good thing but I'm guessing he's only really continuing to fight, because he doesn't have many other options to make money otherwise.

Re: Zab Judah probably not in a coma
When someone is fighting regularly, even at an older age, they seldom get injured (at least in a bad way). But when someone like Zab fights infrequently, no matter how often they train, these things are expected to happen sooner or later.
I had a bad feeling when it was announced he was fighting. I wish he hadn't. But he'll never fight again and that's a blessing in disguise. He got off lucky and should be happy with what he's accomplished.

everybody should be allowed to fight if he wants to, even people in their 80s

Re: Zab Judah probably not in a coma
why not? it's their life, they are responsible for it, not somebody else. to a willing person injury is not done. euthanasia is more of a risk but it's legal in some countries, i don't see a reason why boxing for people in 80s shouldn't.

Re: Zab Judah probably not in a coma
Probably because if an 80 year old was badly injured, he or his family would sue the ass off the state commission that allowed him to fight, suddenly claiming it was irresponsible and negligent to allow such a match.dagilechia wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019, 18:11 why not? it's their life, they are responsible for it, not somebody else. to a willing person injury is not done. euthanasia is more of a risk but it's legal in some countries, i don't see a reason why boxing for people in 80s shouldn't.
