Alex Dickinson will face foreign opposition when he returns at the weekend.
The 32-year-old heavyweight has fought twice already this year and is back in action on Saturday.
Dickinson (10-0, 6 KOs) outpointed Phil Williams in March before blasting away Dorian Darch a month later
And he will be looking to do a similar job on Kamil Sokolowski in what will be his second scheduled eight-round contest, exclusively live on BT Sport, as part of the supporting cast to Josh Warrington’s IBF featherweight world title mandatory defence against Kid Galahad.
“I cannot wait for this fight now,” said the Formby man who is trained at Everton Red Triangle by Paul Stevenson. “It’s been a busy six months for me having fought twice this year already and I was glad to be back in the gym straight away after the show in April.
“I would have liked to have done more rounds against Dorian Darch but a win is a win and now I’m excited to be back.”
But Dickinson says he is not taking his eye off the ball ahead of the clash against a man who could quite easily derail his designs on title fights later on this year.
“Kamil is a dangerous opponent that I’m taking very seriously,” he added. “Only people that are going places in boxing beat him and I’m aiming to do that on the night.
“He is a very tough and durable fighter and it’s going to be a tough night’s work for me but I have prepared well for it and I’ll be ready to go come fight night.”
