Kelly Pavlik - Joe Rogan

Post by TopGun »

Just listened to the podcast with Kelly Pavlik and Joe Rogan.

Kelly comes across really well. No ego and insightful.

Also if you watch it on youtube you can see he is a unit now!

Excellent middleweight champion. I used to love watching Pavlik box, because he was a good, busy boxer who could whack and always exciting.

I wish Calzaghe had taken the fight instead of BHop. If Joe had destroyed Kelly - which I belive he would - Joe would have gone down as an even bigger name

Even as is Joe has to be considered at the very worst one of the Top 3 all time at 168. Roy Jones and Andre Ward are the only ones you could make a case for being ahead of him, and I personally would have him ahead of Roy because Roy's run at 168 was pretty short lived.

Still... Joe should have fought him.

Where would you rank Froch? Arguably Froch had one of the toughest fight schedules in recent years, Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson, Ward, Bute, Mack, Kessler and then two fights with Groves.

He'd fall in the Top 5 I'd imagine. Or pretty damn close to it.

I think Froch had a tougher career than JC, its a shame JC left the big fights right until the end, especially as Jones wasn't the force he used to be. The Hopkins win looked better with time though. It would have been a great fight between JC and Froch

No question about it that Froch had a more challenging schedule, and list of opponents than Calzaghe. Calzaghe wouldn't have been undefeated if he'd taken on all the guys that Froch did.
