Funny how it seems DAZN have to bid for Matchroom UK cards.. Maybe they have an option to match?
Showtime showed Whyte-Chisora.
I believe there was another event in the UK, which DAZN did not show as well..
This is a big move for DAZN, and it will be shown on all their international platforms.

Love this one. I think Whyte is ripe.

I hope Whyte wins it like against Parker, for his own good but i feel Rivas can pull some terrific KO.

Well we have had a few upsets lately. So a Rivas win would fit right in.
But I think Whyte wins a clear decision

You may be right, but I think there will be bodies on the deck even if it makes it the distance.

So do I.
Chiefly because he's another one of this new breed of professional boxer who feels compelled to talk and rage about everyone and everything, instead of focusing on the task at hand.
I wonder if he even knows that he's fighting Rivas.

Rivas is a bit mysterious, as he didn't have too much fights at the top level, but it looks like he can be dangerous for Whyte for all the time. I favour Whyte, cause he is an improving boxer and he has demonstrated his credibility not for a single time, but I won't be surprised, if Rivas wins. Today's HW scene has brought some surprises recently.

I don’t rate Rivas - not that it isn’t a decent scalp for Whyte. I see Whyte coming on middle rounds, bossing his way to a stoppage.

The World Boxing Council and Matchroom Boxing are delighted to confirm that Saturday’s bout between Dillian Whyte and Oscar Rivas at The O2 in London, shown live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and DAZN in the US, will be contested for the WBC Interim World Heavyweight Championship.
Would be funny now if Whyte loses..

Rivas needs to be a lot busier than he was v Jennings, although contrary to the opinions of some, I thought he was comfortably ahead prior to the KO.

Well, Dill doesn't move like Jennings, and Rivas is usually a pressure/busy fighter. I can't see Whyte landing the type of hook he hit Chis with.

Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Oscar Rivas on DAZN - July 20, 2019
I agree. And Rivas finishes his combinations well, most often with a thunderous left hook. He makes angles well and mixes up his punches. His amateur pedigree shows well. Can't wait to watch this one.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Oscar Rivas on DAZN - July 20, 2019
Whyte has his shot at a (interim) belt. Rivas has other ideas. I think someone gets stopped.

Rivas is a lot like Ortiz, in that people slept on him a long time but it was largely his own fault for not being active enough.
Rivas had visa issues and eye issues that kept him out of a lot of step-up bouts, but he finally made his presence known.
This is a great fight. I'm rooting for Rivas but I think Whyte has had so much experience lately, staying active and beating good boxers, that he knows how to win now. I see him winning a close decision, SD or MD. I don't think Rivas will win as many rounds with low output as he did against Jennings.

That’s funny, but there’s an element of truth in that image.
