The Semi-main was a 10-round war that saw unheralded Mexican Leonardo Baez (in his US debut) upset unbeaten 2-time Olympian Alberto Melian of Argentina.

In an upset, unheralded super bantamweight Leonardo Baez (15-2, 8 KOs) soundly defeated previously unbeaten two-time Olympian and NABA titleholder Alberto “Impacto” Melian (5-1, 3 KOs) by ten round unanimous decision. Baez aggressively took the fight to Melian and won by scores of 97-93, 97-93, 97-93.

Really do not understand why was Quigley 25:1 favorite. Johnson was obviosly step up from his previous oponent and he was in very good fight with Derevyanchenko, who is world class.

This was a fantastic fight until Quigley gave out. Tureano will give any middleweight hell with the new wrinkles he has added to his game.

Wow Tureano looked god awful in his last fight against a stiff. The wide line reflected how bad he looked. Don’t think he trained for that fight.
