Price is right.
Price is right.
Price absolutely schooled Allen.
Re: Price is right.
It was a mismatch from the beginning. Allen had nothing against Price, except the puncher's chance.
Re: Price is right.
Price had time to tee-off on Allen. Not enough pressure, not enough punches thrown when he was pressuring. Poor tactics from Allen's team.
Re: Price is right.
That was pretty surprising for me. Of course, you can't be 100% sure in a weak-chinned Price, but Price obviously was always a better boxer. I picked Price to KO Allen.
Re: Price is right.
Nice!
I would have lost that bet as I have zero faith in his chin. I thought it would have been like the Povetkin fight.
Now Price has got some life left in his career. Allen not so much.

Now it can be made:
Price vs Fury....I don't mean Hughie.

Dave Allen was put on oxygen and taken to hospital on a stretcher after the fight. He took a lot of hard shots over the ten rounds.
I hope no one says he quit, the fact is there's no quit in David Allen.
Barker pulled him out because he saw Allen was disorientated and possibly concussed.

Oh man that's bad. Obviously he was injured. That's why the fight was stopped. I thought that it may have been his eye. The announcers just glossed over it and didn't even seem interested. He wasn't being beaten up badly like they are saying. The fight wasn't that far from being even with a small lead for Price who wasn't doing that much himself except landing an occasional shot and clinching a lot.

Re: Price is right.
Price looked good and not just because Allen was poor he looked fast, strong and fit. I like Dave Allen but god help me putting ur chest on the bigger guy and barely throwing anything is painful to watch surprised Darren Barker let it go on so long with those tactics
Re: Price is right.
That fight was not remotely close, and Allen took a lot of very stiff jabs and too many massive right hands. It was sustained significant punishment.Ilya Muromets wrote: ↑20 Jul 2019, 17:53Perkin Warbeck wrote: ↑20 Jul 2019, 17:48 Dave Allen was put on oxygen and taken to hospital on a stretcher after the fight. He was out of the fight without a KO and he had next to nothing on his punches.

I won’t say he quit. I really hope he’s alright and wish the man well.Perkin Warbeck wrote: ↑20 Jul 2019, 17:48 Dave Allen was put on oxygen and taken to hospital on a stretcher after the fight. He took a lot of hard shots over the ten rounds.

Re: Price is right.
It showed that Price has some class despite his rigid defense and poor chin delivering hilariously crude moments. Allen is not exactly a world-class guy, but that destroyed any bit of "momentum" he has had...

I missed a lot of that except the nothing on his punches part. I hope he's OK.
Re: Price is right.
100%. I was stunned by Allen's lack of action. He had Price blowing hard after two rounds and did little if nothing to take advantage of it.
Re: Price is right.
strange fight , i dont know was it a price best boxed fight or, allen missed a chance , price straight way had a huge adavantage with the jab, but didnt tee off with right , when allen got close did let go a few times, but price did well jabbed more , used his lenght , thought price won easy in the end

Re: Price is right.
There are levels to boxing. Price is a world class HW with the great misfortune of having a poor chin and low fight IQ. Allen is a local tough guy. I like Allen in terms of his social media presence, seems a good guy. I'm shocked anyone thought he had a chance against Price.
Re: Price is right.
Price gave a great IFL interview last night. It gave an idea of what he’s been going through.

Re: Price is right.
There's always been 2 David Price's, the known and feared sledge hammer fisted David Price of countless sparring sessions with familiar opposition and the uncertain nervous shadow who enters the ring against unknown opposition.
Unfortunately for Dave Allen, he was far from unfamiliar. Against known homegrown opposition David Price is a different animal to what we're used to seeing.
Tyson Fury gave up his title and ran from David Price years ago, and he will keep running. And running.

really pleased for Big Dave Price.
not watched fight yet as I begrudge paying box office.
will catch up on sky for free at the end of the week and watch him punish Dave Allen,,
