It was a mismatch from the beginning. Allen had nothing against Price, except the puncher's chance.

Everyone is going to be critical of Allen, but yesterday few had him losing this one.

Price looked really calm and fought his fight the whole time.

Price had time to tee-off on Allen. Not enough pressure, not enough punches thrown when he was pressuring. Poor tactics from Allen's team.

That was pretty surprising for me. Of course, you can't be 100% sure in a weak-chinned Price, but Price obviously was always a better boxer. I picked Price to KO Allen.

Nice!

I would have lost that bet as I have zero faith in his chin. I thought it would have been like the Povetkin fight.
Now Price has got some life left in his career. Allen not so much.

Dave Allen was put on oxygen and taken to hospital on a stretcher after the fight. He took a lot of hard shots over the ten rounds.

I hope no one says he quit, the fact is there's no quit in David Allen.

Barker pulled him out because he saw Allen was disorientated and possibly concussed.

Oh man that's bad. Obviously he was injured. That's why the fight was stopped. I thought that it may have been his eye. The announcers just glossed over it and didn't even seem interested. He wasn't being beaten up badly like they are saying. The fight wasn't that far from being even with a small lead for Price who wasn't doing that much himself except landing an occasional shot and clinching a lot.

Price looked good and not just because Allen was poor he looked fast, strong and fit. I like Dave Allen but god help me putting ur chest on the bigger guy and barely throwing anything is painful to watch surprised Darren Barker let it go on so long with those tactics

That fight was not remotely close, and Allen took a lot of very stiff jabs and too many massive right hands. It was sustained significant punishment.

He was out of the fight without a KO and he had next to nothing on his punches.

I won’t say he quit. I really hope he’s alright and wish the man well.

It showed that Price has some class despite his rigid defense and poor chin delivering hilariously crude moments. Allen is not exactly a world-class guy, but that destroyed any bit of "momentum" he has had...

I missed a lot of that except the nothing on his punches part. I hope he's OK.

100%. I was stunned by Allen's lack of action. He had Price blowing hard after two rounds and did little if nothing to take advantage of it.

There are levels to boxing. Price is a world class HW with the great misfortune of having a poor chin and low fight IQ. Allen is a local tough guy. I like Allen in terms of his social media presence, seems a good guy. I'm shocked anyone thought he had a chance against Price.

Price gave a great IFL interview last night. It gave an idea of what he’s been going through.

There's always been 2 David Price's, the known and feared sledge hammer fisted David Price of countless sparring sessions with familiar opposition and the uncertain nervous shadow who enters the ring against unknown opposition.

Unfortunately for Dave Allen, he was far from unfamiliar. Against known homegrown opposition David Price is a different animal to what we're used to seeing.

Tyson Fury gave up his title and ran from David Price years ago, and he will keep running. And running.
