Chris Eubank Jr. vs. John Ryder - 28 September 2019?
Obviously on ITV Box Office.
Potential other fights on the card:
Broner vs. Selby
Chamberlain vs. Altunkaya
Anyone heard rumours of this?
Chamberlain told Seconds out: “I recently signed with Al Haymon, but I’m still battling with [ex-trainer/manager] Ted [Bami] through lawyers. I could be on an ITV pay-per-view show on September 28 with Chris Eubank Jr vs John Ryder and Adrien Broner vs Lee Selby. I’ll be in a good fight, we’re trying to get Hizni Altunkaya, who fought for a world title against Beibut Shumenov and also fought Denis Lebedev and Krzysztof Glowacki. I’ve literally just turned 25, so I can bide my time.”

Selby is meant to be Ricky Burns opponent for 7th Sept @ Hydro in Glasgow.
Jorge Linares wanted workout 1st before Burns so that fell through.
Don’t think Ryder’s accepted yet - offers in butbhed be risking Mandatory for Smith if he lost. Would need to be considerable offer to gamble.

Right.. well September is in 30 days.. We'll need to see what unfolds here.. I'm guessing Selby is already training..3132DW wrote: ↑01 Aug 2019, 11:15 Selby is meant to be Ricky Burns opponent for 7th Sept @ Hydro in Glasgow.

Is Ryder actually contracted with Matchroom? Or does Hearn just use him as and when?

Hearn said Glasgow will need announced in next 7 days - I guess they have fights in mind or made but just not announced. Definitely Selby replacing Linares though.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Aug 2019, 12:19Right.. well September is in 30 days.. We'll need to see what unfolds here.. Yeah and he Trains at Sims/Matchroom gym in Essex. It will take Top notch offer for Ryder to gamble is No1 slot - as that’s what Eubank wants is shot at Callum Smith for SMW crown.
Callum Smith is 21st Sept in Liverpool (not 100%) yet so he might just fight Ryder himself and get Mandatory out the way as well.

Eubank jnr v Ryder would be a cracking trade fight.
The WBA title has devalued itself so much since the Super champion bullsh1t, that the money and exposure for fighting Eubank jnr should be worth it for Ryder.

I'd like him more if he could carry that stuff up the levels better. He was not that entertaining vs BJS or Groves. He is a front running entertainer.Coco wrote: ↑23 Aug 2019, 08:41He really comes to fight, a chin like his father, can punch, big output too, what's not to like!Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑23 Aug 2019, 08:38

I couldn't think of a better match for either guy.
Ryder is on the up, Eubank Jr needs to prove he is ready for a title shot again, and the winner of this is prime for it

Gorilla is on a nice little run but at this stage I reckon Eubank is a level above and probably chews him up and spits him out in about six rounds.

Doubt this fight is happening on the above date...

World Boxing News can reveal two-time IBO super-middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. is considering a switch in weight ahead of a long-awaited United States debut.
After spending his early boxing years in the US to learn his craft, Briton Eubank has surprisingly campaigned 30 times as a pro without making a foray across the Atlantic.
Now is the time as Eubank bids to enhance his reputation in the sport’s biggest market.
A late 2019 date is now being bandied around. Eubank is mulling over options for a return to MIDDLEWEIGHT. This is alongside his usual 168.
With Canelo Alvarez up at light-heavyweight for a massive match-up with Sergey Kovalev, Eubank Jr. could be aiming at Gennadiy Golovkin as his preferred choice for 2020.
The pair were due to fight in 2016 before Eubank pulled out of the deal due to a contract dispute. Golovkin went on to face Kell Brook and win in five rounds.
Eubank fully intends to seek out the top names in America. The 29 year-old is coming close to the peak of his career.
At this point in time, all-British match-ups seem to be on the backburner for the Brighton man.
Recent criticism from Eddie Hearn, coupled with options to fight Callum Smith or old rival Billy Joe Saunders were made public this week.
WBN can exclusively reveal from Eubank’s side that Smith never had any intention of taking any fight, despite Hearn’s claims to the contrary.
Eubank seemingly had no option but to look elsewhere in a bid to finally secure that eye-catching fight he craves.
Beginning his US jaunt with a victory in the coming months will lead Eubank Jr. into headliners against Premier Boxing Champions stablemates at 160 pounds.
Anyone from the current roster with a big reputation is a target for the 28-2 UK star next year.

i feel ebank jr has always been billed better than i think , but that is not to say i dont like watching him, i think when beat Abrams was a good win beating de gale was a good win, he was in bjs fight, i think groves won clear for me, but i enjoy jr fights , he has a great engine i think he has good heart, very tough as well, feel he aint a great boxer, and his power doesn't back him up, ryder is a good boxer , so i dont think size advantage will be that great for jr , john likes it inside , and embanks wont use the jab, i worry about johns engine as jr is very fit , lets hope it gets made
