Manuel Monteiro - Time Importance For Approval of bout

Post by wjdodd »

I have a fighter (Manuel Monteiro) that fought in Mexico in 2017 and then more recently 2019. His last four fights on Boxrec are not showing as sanctioned events even thought the Tijuana commission oversaw these event. Is there a way to get these changed to sanctioned events in fight? Time is of the importance on this.

The Tijuana commission are a bunch of crooks, wether they were real fights or not is anyone's guess. I would err on the side of safety and not use that fighter.

No, this is wrong. ALL of Monteiro's fights are marked as sanctioned by Tijuana BoxCom. It is just the matter that these fights are not locked, because Marina does not want ANY show in Mexico to be locked anymore, no matter where they happened. Before, it was Tijuana, Cancún and the whole state of Yucatán for a while, but that changed to the whole country 15 or 16 months ago.
