I'm usually against a fighter moving down after a win, but Pov looked every year his age. Despite the scores, it was a close fight against a crap fighter like Hughie. I can't see Pov above number 9 in the rankings.
Pov to number 9.

No change. Whyte is on the longer winning streak and his last win was bigger, than Povetkin's one, so Povetkin is still following Whyte in the rankings.

Really need to find someone to knock Breazeale off the list though. Think Hughie would actually beat him

Let's not forget that he defeated Hughie much wider than Parker and wider than/as wide as Pulev.

I did think Pov looked not to have the snap snap or speed in his shots as before, but he still won clearly and I think better than Parker did, and without getting hurt like Pulev did.

Hughie is a spoiler. The top fighters all beat him but nobody looks great against him. Povetkin still did better than Parker and Pulev did against the same opponent, and Ortiz has looked awful lately. No reason to drop Pov down, until somebody else shows us something more.
No change.

Wilder likely beats granddad Ortiz.
Pulev is almost as old as Povitkin, maybe more shot.

I think Pov arguably did better than Parker and Pulev did against Hughie
Imo Parker did the worst. Not landing even a halfway decent shot and merely wwinning because Hughie did nothing.
Pulev offensively seemed to unsettle Hughie more than the other two did, and he actually managed to back him into corners and shut down the movment a good deal, but he also got hurt by a right hand and looked shaky himself.
Povetkin was all around the most controlled I thought. He clearly won and some people here definitely had it too generous to Hughie. That said I do think he showed some decline,,,it wasnt just from Hughie being negative. His shots did not unload with the same speed or heat as they once did. I get the impression that in a tough contest a guy like Whyte would eventually grind him down.
I think his current ranking is still appropriate though.

I agree.
I was very critical of Povetkin during the first half of the fight. But, sum total is that the Russian out worked Hughie. I may think that Povetkin has slowed but he won that fight clearly.
If I was Team Povetkin I would fully examine all options/equations. If the sum comes up Joyce, I would be on it like stink.
