Got any good examples of two great of famous fighters boxing each other before they became big. What I mean is foe example Terry Downes fighting Dick Tiger at shoredich town hall in 1957.
Downes was 2-0 at the time and Tiger had 8 losses. Tiger won in 5. Of course both would go on to become world middleweight champions. Any other notable examples like this?

There's an entire thread on this about debut fights against future champs or something.

Recently Miguel Vazquez fought both Canelo and Tim Bradley I think before anybody gave a sh*t about any of the 3. People still don't give a sh*t about Miguel, but he became a Titleholder nevertheless
Tim Bradley was right on the verge of breaking through though. His title win over Junior Witter was next.
I'm sure there are better examples, but that one just sprang to mind.

Future contender and title shot recipient David Bey turned pro on the Holmes-Snipes card. Bey's opponent was 4-0 Buster Douglas. Bey took Busters '0' and scored a second round TKO.
James Broad's third pro opponent was James 'Bonecrusher' Smith, who was making his pro debut.
Bonecrusher's second pro opponent was future cruiser champ Ricky Parkey.
