KSI, Logan Paul To Each Make $900K For Fight, Haney $1M
Logan Paul and KSI can say they hate each other all they want, but their bad blood was tailor made for them to make good business.
Tasked with selling out Staples Center in Los Angeles and diversifying DAZN’s subscriber base, the two YouTubers and socialites will each earn $900,000 guaranteed for their exploits when they face each other in their pro debut Saturday, according to figures the California State Athletic Commision released to BS.com. The fighters also have clauses in their contracts that could make that figure even more lucrative depending on how well the show performs.
Their first fight, an amatuer one, took place at the Manchester Arena in London < LOL, drew 15,000 fans and sold 1.2 million pay-per-views at $10 each. The pair will be leveraging a combined audience of over 91 million, with designs to bring new fans to the sport.
WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, the co-headliner, will defend his title for the first time and earn $1 million guaranteed for his fight against Alfredo Santiago, who will take home $90,000 when he steps in the ring against the 20-year-old.
WBO super middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders will make his United States debut and earn $750,000 guaranteed against Marcelo Esteban Coceres. Coceres is set to make $80,000.

Bat sh*t crazy, I don’t even know who these two bums are in the main event, it’s just bizarre, but I looked at Devin’s opponent and ...jesus, a million dollars for that ?!
And BJS is sure to turn off millions of fans with his showcase boreathon 12 round unanimous decision. They don’t even need to fight, we know the outcome already.
They really should be matching him tough, because he’s that good, he would probably really turn it on ..but these no risk gimme fights, they’re taking aim and shooting themselves squarely in the foot

When you think about all the undercard fighters around the world who keep shows going for peanuts, this stinks and BJS doing what he does best, avoiding anyone and everyone, what a pile of shite this is.I wouldn't watch if the tickets were free and I got flown over there in first class.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 05:28 Bat sh*t crazy, I don’t even know who these two bums are in the main event, it’s just bizarre, but I looked at Devin’s opponent and ...jesus, a million dollars for that ?!

Re: KSI, Logan Paul To Each Make $900K For Fight, Haney $1M
They'll end up taking way more than this from the fight.
I don't think the criticism is very fair actually, certainly not in respect of what they'll earn and the followings they bring. They already have millions in the bank, they don't need to do this - It'll be amateur hour but let them get on with it. It isn't a show aimed at us.
Tens and tens of millions follow these guys. It ain't my thing, but by the same token I am not a dinosaur that is struggling to comprehend the world has changed from when I was a lad (not necessarily for the better I'll add)
They deserve whatever they can get out of it, they are bringing a lot to the table.

Of course. $900K is just the minimum..
I reckon it'll do decent numbers in the UK as well.

But a lad who works for me who knows nothing about boxing is paying PPV on sky for this.
I obviously know these guys are you tubers but don’t know what the content of their videos involves.
Re: KSI, Logan Paul To Each Make $900K For Fight, Haney $1M
I keep seeing interviews with other YouTubers who all seem young, charismatic and have the gift of the gab and they all seem to be talking up fights with each other, I think a new and lucrative trend is upon us

Yeah the young kids are mad about them, don’t really know what they do, I’ll say one thing caught a bit of the face off, the blond one looks far to big for the other guy to be fightingjameswilson wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 14:38Nope.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 14:34 Is anyone on here paying to see these two cockwombles go at it?

This is a joke fight. They have probably planned how it ends rather like WWE. Crap card not worth paying a penny for. Even the BJS fight is a foregone conclusion.

How much was Bunce paid to try and give this pantomime some semblance of credibility.WildWaylon wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 16:42 This is a joke fight. They have probably planned how it ends rather like WWE. Crap card not worth paying a penny for. Even the BJS fight is a foregone conclusion.
Any respect I had for him has evaporated
No clue why he sold out the way he did. This farce does nothing for the image of boxing

What's laughable is that BJS is on for free.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 14:34 Is anyone on here paying to see these two cockwombles go at it?
