Edward John Hearn

Mr Hearn, has been promoting in the UK since 2012..Let's not deny he has had a huge impact on British boxing. Signed Sky to an exclusive deal as well..

Moved on to USA.. Huge deal with DAZN. Matchroom Italy and now Spain.. Maybe Germany soon.
He's now getting more famous, recently, due to No Context Hearn..

Including upcoming events, in 2019.. Hearn would have promoted 40 events.

UK = 15 Cards
Of those 15,

JD NXTGEN: 5
World Title fights: 5
PPV: 3 (2 world titles)

USA/MX = 15
World title fights: 12 (some multiple)
PPV: 2

Italy = 7
Monaco = 1
Spain = 1
KSA = 1

Some way he's neglecting UK, but he's still had a lot of cards, considering he is doing USA.

We have too much NXTGEN, and also, too much PPV's for non ppv worthy fights/events.

Also, them 5 world title cards..

One if Katie 'Frickin' Taylor and the other is Taylor-Prograis, which Hearn shouldn't get credit for.

EDIT

Another would be Charlie 'Bloody' Edwards.

I know he has Frank Smith doing more than we realise but he needs more help. Some weekends he has 2 cards on in different continents ffs.

We need some more Saturday night headliners. Buatsi’s injury record at the mo is horrendous and Okolie’s style will make people switch off. Going back a few years he had Crolla and Quigg to put an MEN card on a few times a year and AJ doing the tour raising his popularity up to the Whyte fight.

Great promoter, has brought real enthusiasm and ambition to the game.

His problem is that he is now spread too thin with his desire for American supremacy. His presence in fight week helps sells the show with his charisma and smarts.

He’s figures driven, as shown with this past weekend’s events which isn’t so cool but at the end of the day his services are employed by two big television networks to generate viewers and thus cash. He’s largely delivers. I’m a big fan.

I genuinely don't understand the hate. For the most part, he's doing a fantastic job.

Good at his job but i can't really stick him. I started watching him on the True Geordie podcast and had to turn it off. Talks some amount of bollocks!

On the plus side he’s invested heavily in boxing and has been the major promoter in the UK for over five years now.

On the negative his uk cards are getting progressively worse and for the last 18 months now and there have been a succession of PPVs which I genuinely cannot believe anyone would want to buy.

Comes across as an absolute prick of a man every time I’ve seen him interviewed but tbh I couldn’t care less about that. His job is to produce a good quality product and for five years it’s difficult to argue that he didn’t do a good job in doing so. The last couple of years has been increasingly shite though I can’t remember the last Sky show I bothered watching

Good interview with him in BN, a lot of humility and self depreciation, very surprising, admitting he knew nowt about promoting when he took on big Aud, how out of his depth he was - also how he was a complete boxing nerd when he was a kid, memorising fighters records etc ....made me warm to him a lot when I read that....
