What happens now with the HW division?

Post by RonnyJ »

Lets get first to the prospects. Might be a bit surprising, but they are all overrated. I watched some vids of them and they are all good strong hw, but nobody of them is special. Ajagba, makhmudov, joyce and the dubious are slow, limited, lack footwork, lack guard. Hrgovic, while not having the punching power those others have has the best skills. Still, they all dont play a role in the #1 discussion.

Aj showed he aint limited. He can box technically, he can jab, be patient, move, have the stamina to move and showed improvemant in terms of upper body movemant, being more agile. He is the best. because if he fights that way, maybe with a bit of more pop in his punches and a more experienced guard, than no one can win against him. Wilder cant compete with his movemant and his jab,
1 2, would wait for the 1 big shot, that would not land, would aj stick to the gameplan and move a lot and be hesitant. Wilder has a punchers chance, no doubt, but aj the favourite.

Fury is just a out of shape, wouldnt handle ajs power, would follow him and get countered by the quicker sharper aj.

Usyk is the best of all, but he has not the super hw physic. Thats a big ?

It's between Usyk & Joshua, Wilder always dangerous with arguably the biggest 1 punch ever.

The field is open. Going with the one who can beat all the names in this era will be the best, so doing a Lewis more or less.

Fury, when he is focused on boxing he is the man, then again also his worst enemy. Everyone how steps in the ring with him, better hope that he ain't in the mood or something is off with him. Otherwise I do think he is hell for anyone who he fights cause of his range, size and skillset that is more solid then Usyks.

Wilder, has the most unortodox skillset that sets him apart from the others, that people think that he can't box. Well, he can do that if he needs to. Otherwise he stays cool and waits on his oppenent all night if he has too, since everybody knows he will take you out with one solid punch. He is the most dangerous puncher among the big boys.

Jousha, I would say is balanced in many ways with solid speed and power that can take guys out. He is like two guys above a good learner and quick one at that. Biggest name among the HWs. A mid-range fighter mostly, can go for the kill and takes his time with solving problems. Good heart, that people missed in the first Ruiz-fight. I do love how pissed he was when it was stopped.

Usyk, he goes for wearing people down before he takes them out. A skillset match only by Fury. Don't have the size as some say, since he is robust and a can handle big guys as he did with Joe Joyce in the WSB. Didn't put out all his tricks against Witherspoon. But he has that locco fill, so he will do alright among the big boys.

All the other guys are solid contenders and up and comers. But, everybody forgets about Yoka here. Might be cause he beat Joe Joyce. And Ruiz needs to get his sh*t toughter if he gonna spend time as top dog.

Im a fan of all them guys, but Im also going with Fury however he fights. Do have a real soft spot for Wilder, and may the best man win when they fight. Hope both guys gets paid well for getting beaten up. Still holds Fury as my guy. Hoping that we will get some new classics since the division is hot as hell!

But however beats everyone else and comes up as king of the hill in the end will be fun to see down the line. A great royal rumble would be awesome for the sport, if the promoters stop begin afarid to let go off their investment. Since well, much money is being spent now.

I can see Josh fighting Pulev next and dropping the WBO, so that his stablemate Usyk can get it and then help build a fight between them more, with 2 HW champs.

I hope AJ's side show ambition to fight the Wilder-Fury winner too. Wilder is 4-5 years older than Josh so they can afford to wait him out, especially as a guy relying on athleticism and not skills

Yeah, but if he loses the WBO, then we get Parker and Usyk. Since Fury is signed to fight Wilder. I do think it is funny that Chisoras name got thrown around for no reason, since he is rated nr.14...

I think Usyk will takeover once Wilder, AJ, Fury go at it. He will be the fresher of the four. I believe he is the most skilled and talented of the pack.

Prediction: Usyk takes over the scene in 2021.

It’s possibke given his skill. But it’s a little early to put too much stock in Usyk. He has yet to prove that he can bang with the big hitters of the heavyweight division. Beating a shot fighter like Chazz Witherspoon didn’t tell us much. And Usyk isn’t all that young either.

The fight in February will decide. Either Fury or Wilder. Either could win.
Usyk is too small and Joshua too timid.
Nobody else has it together right now.

Josh is less timid than Fury is

Lol a decision win and now the 23 wins (21 KO) guy who has dropped/stopped all but 1 opponent is just a running UD'ing bitch

I mean going on last fights, Fury had hell with Otter fricking Wallin. Dude had his f@cking face carved up by a guy who had been nowhere, that easily could've been stopped

Usyk can contend and beat some good names but don't see him beating the elite 3 guys unless one of them does fade before he does, even though he's 32 himself it could happen if they get to each other first enough or a loss takes some desire away
