Probably Wilder as his 3rd fight after Pulev then Whyte/Usyk.

Wouldn't be a huge surprise if we got Pulev, Whyte, Usyk, Ruiz 3, Joe Joyce and Jarrell Miller, tho' would it ?

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think AJ will ever fight them.

Well, if you think AJ is ducking, he is 4-5 years younger than Wilder, and maybe then he waits him out and fights 'old' Tay?

He'll only fight twice next year. Pulev then probably Usyk.

If the money is right they will all fight.

I never bought the 'ducking' theories between Joshua and Wilder, I felt it was greed and needless brinkmanship that prevented that fight from happening last year.

I tend to agree with that. Especially with AJ as he makes loads of money every fight. He has more financially to lose fighting Wilder than Deontay does fighting him. What does he make, 5x's what Wilder makes per fight?

Yeah and as we saw the other day, he can lose a fight and still get a massive pay rise from it.

Say what you want, but Sky and Match room have done an excellent job building the AJ brand.

PBC doesn't seem to put anywhere near the same effort into Wilder. That's why he shouts his mouth off so much imo.

One of the biggest problems facing the big stars of modern boxing is their lack of activity per year once they hit the big time or even
reach world title contention.

If you get just 3 fights out of them in a year, you've done very well. 2 fights is more likely and 1 fight is not unusual. Throw in injuries or complications and that figure easily becomes 0 !

This sort of scheduling simply doesn't leave enough room for making all the fights the fans should be seeing.

This is what I think, not sure why - I don’t think that the boxers themselves are ducking anybody

It doesn’t help that these guys only fight a couple of times a year and there are plenty of fringe guys they can fight in the meantime

I guess, Joshua will fight Usyk and Pulev. While Fury-Wilder winner (Fury) will probably fight Whyte.

I’ve no doubt Joshua would fight both Fury and Wilder, but there’s no way Hearn will allow that until he’s milked his cash cow dry.

Joshua will fight Pulev and Usyk

Wilder and Fury’s opponents depend on how they get on if they fight each other again.
If Wilder wins then I think we could see Usyk stand aside and face the winner perhaps?

If Fury wins? I expect him the vacate the title and fight a scrub or two to ‘get over’ the Wilder fight

I think they are as far away as ever.

Fury has 3 fights left on his contract and to me is talking like a man who will see that out and retire.

Wilder is an accident waiting to happen, and at his age and the reliance on his athletic ability - That could be sooner than we think.

The February fight and how that pans out is going to have a big bearing. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Wilder/Fury trilogy.

On another note, Fury never defends a title so it might be great news for Whyte if Tyson wins in February

AJ should go on an 18 month tear. Pulev, Usyk, Whyte, Wilder/Fury in any order. Just build momentum and own the era win or lose

Fury just stated his 3 remaining fights with ESPN will be Wilder/Wilder/Another American.

This would rule out both of them for AJ next year

He won't want to jump in with either having just reclaimed his portion of the title, one will frustrate the hell out of him,the other will knock the hell out of him.

And Ruiz, with more ability in one roll of fat than AJ could dream of, was beating up AJ again and ending his career, but AJ still had the balls to fight him again :yay:
