Source: "Indonesia News and Views", 31 October 1983, Volume III No. 13. This was published by the Information Division of the Embassy of Indonesia in Washington, USA. Article on page 10 reads as follows:

"Indonesian Boxer knocks out OPBF Champion

Indonesian Boxer Juari of the Malang Gajayana camp knocked out the lightweight champion of the Oriental [sic] Pacific Boxing Federation, Rolando Aldemir of the Philippines, in the sixth out of the planned 12-round professional bout in Surabaya, East Java on October 16, 1983.

Juari entered the ring with a maximum bodyweight of 61.2kg [134.9 lbs] against overweight Rolando Aldemir at 66.1kg [145.7 lbs]."

Referee and neutral judge was Kwang Soo Kim of South Korea

Undercard:

- Thomas Americo (Indonesia) v Kai Song or Kai Siong (spelling varies in the article), which Americo won on points over 12 rounds.

- Monod (Indonesia) beat Sandy Noora (Philippines) over 10 rounds on points at super-bantamweight.

- Kid Hasan (Indonesia) beats Joe Lim (Philippines) in a 10-round lightwelter bout. Not clear how, but suspect points as where knockouts occur on this card, the article says so.

- Rudy Haryanton (Indonesia) knocked out Hengky Gun (Indonesia) in round four - scheduled distance not specified.
