Mercer was better, than Wilder in terms of fighting skills. Also Mercer had a helluva chin and he has never been KOed in his prime, moreover, he had only 2 KO losses, where a one is technical and the other one was weird. He took clean shots of Morrison, that's the sign of a freakish chin. And Mercer would make it a fight against Wilder. Ray could outfight Wilder, the only question is, if Ray took Wilder's right hand.
