I think it's great. Now when they match in-house, their guys will be fighting for their futures. That ship has sailed for Brazeale and Washington, but you never know.
I like Kownacki Vs Ruiz, and Ortiz Vs the rest home orderlies

That's pretty difficult. People complain of a lack of depth but there's probably 40 or 50 heavyweights who could make a case (not necessarily a very strong case) to be rated in the top 20. I just realized I forgot Jarrell Miller, I don't know if that was some kind of subconscious protest, and I found no place for Helenius, Takam, Ajagba, Washington, Kuzmin, Charr, Bryan and so on ...

Edit: There is a moral here. Catch up on last night's results before posting your ratings update. Failure can lead to embarrassment  :D

How do you begin to evaluate Robert Helenius - the man is a complete (Nordic) nightmare.

My top 15 based on records(as it should be):

1. Joshua
2. Fury
3. Whyte
4. Wilder
5. Ruiz
6. Povetkin
7. Parker
8. Hunter
9. Pulev
10. Ortiz
12. Rivas
13. Chisora
14. Joyce (though I dispute his win over Jennings)
15. Helenius/Martin/Washington/Kownacki (They've all beat and lost to each other so??)

That last spot was tough to fill and is definitely up for grabs.

No real complaints but can you explain how Hammer is still so high? He always seems to be unusually high in the PBO list? (And also Boxrec for that matter)

Christian Hammer is not a top tenner but he has some decent wins. Kevin johnson (when Johnson had only lost 3) Erkham Teper when he was undefeated, David Price, Mike Wallisch when he was undefeated..his recent losses are to strong opposition, Luis Ortiz (on points), Alexander Povetkin (on points), Tyson Fury (at one stage was a NC).

his losses to good opposition do not significantly drop him under our rules.

Personally I think he should be a touch lower but ratings should never be about everyone in the exact position YOU think they are, and picking the lower ranked fighter on the way up against an ageing fighter on the way down but highly ranked is about what good matchmaking and management is about. aka Carroll and Scott Quigg last night.

Christian Hammer does not quite get the respect he deserves, but he is a good top 15/20 gatekeeper.

Those wins are a while ago now and they have since lost many more fights. I would've thought he would've declined in ranking since (and Wallisch has no credible wins).

Anyway, just curious as it's a trend I see but next to nobody ranks him in their top 15.

Yeah that's pretty solid - not sure about Usyk, though.
Not doubting talent or potential, but I find it difficult to rank fighters in a weight category they haven't really competed in. Bashing up Chazz wouldn't land a guy a top 10 spot. Though yeah, you wouldn't rank him as a debutant.

The most recent is Helenius knocking out a guy who beat Washington and Martin (in other words, he beat the only guy who has defeated more than 1 of the 3). By this comparison only, Helenius should be ahead of them all.

No way should Kownacki be below Washington in any reasonable rating, he butchered him in like 4 minutes head to head only a year ago and has a significantly stronger resume overall too. They are both coming off stoppage losses as well, though Kownacki was ahead and not losing every round like Washington. Your ratings are a bit of a mess now on this issue.

Kownacki beat: Washington (an early KTFO), Martin, Szpilka, Arreola, Kiladze
Wash beat: Helenius, Jerry Forrest?

Kownacki also beat up Wash far more one sided than Washington beat Helenius (that was a come from behind win). Don't see how this situations edges Washington at all

If you look at the recent order of the fights you see that Helenius beat Kownacki, so we all agree Helenius is superior to Kownacki, Washington beat Helenius 9 months ago so he is superior to Helenius. Charles Martin beat Washington a month ago, so the recent form puts;
Charles Martin
Gerald Washington
Robert Helenius
Adam Kownacki

Kownacki's win are in the past now.

I don't think that is a mess because recent performance has to be more important that past performance. PBO ratings works on lineage or man that beat the man.

No one will ever agree on the same 10 fighters in a row let alone 20.

Lol Kownacki butchered Washington just a year ago and has a far stronger record. Washington in his last fight lost every round and got stopped by a guy Kownacki beat, terrible argument for putting Washington ahead. Kownacki was far more compeititive in his loss as well

There are a lot of debatable ratings but Wash ahead of Kownacki is just clowning, especially when at the same time you are keeping Helenius behind Washington (Helly beat the only guy who has multiple wins in the series), the fights were just months apart anyway it's not like Kownacki's wins were all ages and ages ago

If you stick to just measuring the single best wins Helenius should be at the front, if you go for an overall view clearly Washington is at the back. How you end up with what you did is just strange
