Alexis Arguello the candidate?

A recent newspaper photo showed showed what the caption said were Sandinista candidates for the Nicaraguan National Assembly. There was former President Daniel Ortega next to Alexis Arguello. Does anyone know if Arguello was elected? It's hard to keep track of his political views. I know he was initially a supporter of the Sandinistas in 1979, and I think one of his brothers died fighting for them. Then after they took power, much of Arguello's property was seized. Embittered, he went so far as to join the Contras in the mid 80s. Now, it seems all is forgiven and he's back in the fold. Can anyone provide an update?

God only knows - south american politics are a crazy subject. All I know is that Alexis was 100% bad mutha fucka while he was boxing - The Explosive Thin Man, despite its memorable tag, didnt do him justice....
