Adamek's best weight was cruiser, big and strong and I think just a bit more well rounded of a boxer than Dort, who is a bit predictable and wind uppish with the right hand. I think Adamek would win by close decision, maybe scoring a knockdown after being hurt himself

Don't think Adamek is any less tough than an inferior Polish fighter in Masternak, who never even went down vs Dort and lost only by a couple, don't see him getting stopped and he was a more versatile boxer than Dort. Dort's the one who got laid out and knocked halfway out the ring at cruiser and he could hardly even put a clean shot on Gassiev--Gas went from hard hitting plodder into a slick defensive boxer in that fight :oo

I have watched a lot of adamek fights recently. He didnt defend right hands well at all. He stood up well when Cunningham would hit him but dorticos is a much better puncher.

Adamek stood his ground more at cw and lhw than at hw

Eh, don't see him being any less tough than Masternak, who never even went down let alone KO'd, and he was a much better fighter overall, with enough power to KO Dort himself.

Dude was also down on points vs Tabiti and Kalenga and obviously Gass. There was nothing really off with his fight vs Masternak, he was just in there with his reptitive attack vs a fairly durable guy who lacked offensive force. don't think he's ever stopped someone nearly as good as Adamek and I don't think he's as tough either. Adamek only got KO'd vs far bigger guys up at HW and he was well past it for 2 of those

You had tabiti beating him? I dont remember that.

I think adamek would be the odds favorite. I think dorticos pulls off the upset

It was a close fight, anyone who was ahead was barely ahead and the judges had it the same way. Dorticos is strong but very reptitive , I really doubt Gass would've been able to not get hit with any clean shots vs Adamek in the way he did vs Dort. I don't think he's any harder to hit or tougher than Adamek (only stopped at hw) either. His power is good but so was Adamek's at cruiser. I think Adamek would have beat him (and all the guys he beat), though maybe not knocked him out of the ring like Gassiev did.
