Close fights/disputed decisions

Hi guys,

What are some good fights that ended in a disputed points decision/close decision/draw?

Keen to hear ones that I may not have seen before (meet 80s and 90s, maybe early 00s)

My mates and I are going to watch a fight in lockdown together and score it. Would be great if theres a fight we havent seen before and dont know the result of so we can all score it individually and then see what happens. Nearly like watching live boxing!

Any suggestions greatly received! Please dint write the result, just the name v name

Tim Witherspoon vs Carl Williams, Tim Witherspoon vs Ray Mercer

Lennox Lewis vs Ray Mercer

Tommy Morrison vs Ross Puritty

Andrew Golota vs Chris Byrd, Andrew Golota vs John Ruiz (almost all Ruiz' big fights are close and disputed actually, but I won't recommend to watch them)

Foreman vs: Stewart, Schulz, Savarese, Briggs

And all those are just the first coming to my mind.

Best stick it on mute also as commentary are horrific in 99 percent of fights

Hatton v Thaxton

Hatton gave Thaxton a one sided pounding. Thaxton showed incredible toughness and wobbled Ricky at one point, but took a wicked shellacking !

Those are my thoughts too, from memory Oscar faded a fair bit in the latter half of the first fight after a strong start. In the second he got hurt but outworked Mosley, despite Mosley being on the gear.

I remember thinking Oscar clearly won, then there was a bit of a boxing wizz/ 'im so smart' backlash saying no, Mosley won and everyone else just got brainwashed, so I rewatched and still couldn't see Mosley as the winner. Felt Mosley closed stronger but that Oscar deserved it for sure
