Patterson by KO. Floyd was faster, more advanced and he had power. Sharkey had no tools to deal with Patterson's explosiveness and delivering abilities.

50-50 fight. Very even;y matched. Patterson was faster and was a better puncher. Sharkey was better defensively and had a better chin. Sharkey had hand problems throughout his career and could not throw many hard shots. He looked good in some fights. However, he often seemed to find a way to lose. Would probably go several rounds and likely go the distance.
