AKA exceptions to the norm

An arm punching/slapping huge puncher
A featherfisted dude scoring a brutal KO (wins over KO prone journeymen excluded)
A heavily muscled dude with excellent stamina
A Japanese or Mexican fighter with no heart (no Mexi-Americans...too pampered lol)
A world class Korean who wasn't a face first slugger

Mike "Hercules" Weaver was a heavily muscled fighter with great stamina.
Re: Can you find me examples of any of these?
Featherfisted:
Tyson Fury wasn't exactly renowned for brutal power, but he destroyed Wilder.
Slapper:
Calzaghe was a bit of a slapper at times
Quitter:
Chavez Jr quitting versus Jacobs (mind you he's always compared to his dad, who had heart).
Stamina:
Vitali I seemed to remember had decent stamina. Foreman (any 60s/70s boxers as they did 15 rounds??)
No shot on the others.

Paul Williams had a good chin - I don't think we need to count that Martinez shot against him.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑08 May 2020, 01:15 AKA exceptions to the norm

These questions are boggling my feeble mind. I almost have an answer and then it’s gone.

None. I went to two gyms when I lived there and it's like they don't teach defence AT ALL. Carlos may be able to shed some more light on that.

Ike Ibeabuchi for muscular with good stamina.
Re: Can you find me examples of any of these?
Yeah that’s him, pity he never got in on with Carbajal, Gonzales ect
Re: Can you find me examples of any of these?
MT is asking for things that are quite rare. Reminds me of the Bill Maher skit where an updated version of a freak show would be a teen girl who doesn't text and a straight male flight attendant.

Now while he wasn't exactly feather fisted, he wasn't known as a big banger either. So one that always pops in my mind with this is Michael Nunn's KO over Sumbu Kalambay. Kalambay was hard as a rock, and Nunn certainly wasn't the biggest puncher he'd ever faced, but Nunn f*cking BLASTED his ass with one of the single most devastating and perfect shots you'll ever see, and took him out in the 1st round.

Re: Can you find me examples of any of these?
The two possible ones there were both pretty face first (Yuh and Chang both racked up a load of defenses at 108)... Neither were slugger I guess but very much "in your face" fighters. Chang the more polished of the two
.. But Chan Hee Park was a talented boxer mover, out boxed Canto

Re: Can you find me examples of any of these?
A tall skinny fella with a good chin - Leo Santa Cruz, been in some great fights never seen him badly hurt and especially at bantam he was a proper bean pole.
Fast feet slow hands - maybe Golovkin, he cut a ring off beautifully and isn’t lightning fast. I suppose he has good feet, not fast ones.
Bad puncher with power - Wilder. I suppose he can throw a big right hand, but very often when I watch his punches I just think he shouldn’t have that much power in a poorly thrown shot.
Heavy muscles and stamina - LMW Cotto? WW Pac? Shawn Porter!

Fewtherfisted brutal KO.
It’s at heavyweight but I thought Hughie Fury’s knockout of Sam Sexton was pretty brutal.
Edit - Just rewatched it and I must have misnremembered. I thought he knocked Sexton clean out for some reason.
