Light Heavyweights: Dennis Andries vs Donny Lalonde

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Light Heavyweight,

Either Andries would maul Lalonde all over the ring with body punches and knocking him out in 10 rounds or a decision or Lalonde out-boxed Andries with jabs and combinations from long range to take a decision. What do you guys think?

Andries was a sloppy uncoordinated boxer when he first appeared.
Strong willing but all over the place, his legs and positioning were horrendous.
At Light Heavyweight in 86 he stopped Tony Sibson in 9 rounds, In 87 six months later he got stopped himself by Thomas Hearns in 10.
Dennis had those fights with Harding which helped make his name, his overall attitude seemed to change when he went to the U.S after the Hearns fight.
Tough call I'll get back to you on this one.
