Heavyweight Champions of France?

Post by Cap »

Is there a list anywhere of boxers who held the heavyweight championship of France? I believe Paul Journee was one, possibly Pierre Charles. Wondering who held the title prior to WW1.

Guess gilgamesh beat me to it. :D Goes back to 1911. Even has titles fights when the title does not change hands.

Took me a second to track down somebody that had been French Heavyweight Champion before, because I know a lot of the time if there's a title on somebody's record you can click on the title and see the lineage.

I finally struck gold when I looked up Georges Carpentier.

He was the first one that came to mind.
