Regency hotel attack

Post by handsofstone »

Just watched the documentary that's just been uploaded on YouTube about the Dublin shootings at the MTK weigh in a few year ago, I'm not sure how to post links on my phone but if you type in the thread name you should find it easily enough, it's only on 15 mins but its pretty fascinating

A lot of people on the comments section are ridiculing it.

I'm not clued up on the whole Dublin wars but clearly it's made from a pro Kinihan point of view, MTK and IFL have been banging his drum for a while now, especially recently its went into overdrive, even Arum has been championing him along with pretty much anyone who does an ifl interview these days, I'm sure Koogs must be in his payroll

In saying that, it doesn't prove that the docu is false, it might be but all ive seen is ppl slating it as bollocks, did the police refuse to take 999 calls and did it take nearly 25 mins to respond to mass shootings?? That should be easy enough to dispel if its wrong

i agree with both comments, the pro-Kinahan angle is laughable ('he was concerned about the boxing fans and their families' )but at the same time the 23 minute Police response to an incident sounds dubious. not that that means it's a conspiracy but its exactly the kind of factoid that gets fastened onto in conspiracy theories.

I saw some people getting really wound up on Twitter the other day because some newspaper described Kinahan as a gangster when apparently he's a legit businessman. :maybe:

Think kinahans crew murdered something like 20 of the opposing gangsters friends and family after this so he can definitely add "pro active with a can do attitude" to his cv.

Speaking of being ‘hands on and pro active’ this is from this morning’s (19 May) Irish Independent, article by Paul Williams. For those who aren’t familiar with Paul W he’s - depending on your view - either a great jouno or a sensationalist. But this is how it goes..,,I have no opinion either way, and of course it’s all ‘alleged’....

From the article....Gardaí are probing the "hands on" role that crime boss Daniel Kinahan played in the murder of Gerry 'the Monk' Hutch's older brother Eddie.

Taxi driver Eddie Hutch was the first person to be shot dead in the spate of revenge attacks that was unleashed following the Regency Hotel incident on February 5, 2016.

Security sources have revealed they now believe Kinahan drove one of the vehicles used to transport the henchmen who executed the 59-year-old three days after the attack at the boxing weigh-in.’

Paul Williams is one of the most insufferable journalists out there. Comes across like a really arrogant prat.

Does seem a bit hard to believe but there were stories he used to be a bit hot-headed and impulsive. Freddy Thompson - currently doing a life stretch for a Dublin gang murder - was (allegedly) also a bit 'hands on' so these guys sometimes seem to take it personally.

I'm not agreeing with them, just saying there's people out there who think he isn't a criminal.

And this is why Hearn won’t have KT fight in Ireland.
