You think Rickster?
Re: Active fighters who already deserve the hall of fame
You mean he hasn't yet been inducted??
Talk about anti scouse bias i swear if he was from anywhere else he'd take his rightful place next to marvin hagler and carlos monzon in the hall of fame.

3 weight champion
10-2-1 in world title fights. Im looking at Ricky from a British point of view.

Ricky's had a good career for sure, more than I imagine anyone ever imagined
Re: Active fighters who already deserve the hall of fame
It depends where the benchmark is, are we talking about elite level fighters like JC, Lewis and Hamed?Old bones Ian wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 15:583 weight champion

No way for burns.
Re: Active fighters who already deserve the hall of fame
It should only be open to undisputed world champions and titlists/non-champs who made a significant impact in the sport.

Re: Active fighters who already deserve the hall of fame
I think they both go in on achievements already. Even putting aside the fact he should have been 1-1 with ward,Kov still had a fearsome run at lhw and held 3of 4 belts for years? Just memory, I haven't researched so there to be shot down.
Usyk for winning the most stacked wbss we've had and doing it in the sytle he did should also be enough.
I think the bars gonna be lower for this generation than ever. The big fights are being missed, top fighters fighting 2 times a year, weight draining making multiple weights a joke at times... there'll be people going in who may have missed out 10-20 year ago.

Beterbiev. Great amateur pedigree. Faultless as a pro so far. Cleaned up at light-heavy.

Yeah, he won clean for me. Second bout wards nut shots clouded the result as he was gonna stop kov anyway. Not sure if he retired after canelo, think he needs to.Shhhh wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 13:58Yeah good points. Thing is if Kov was given decision as he should have vs Ward he’s be a shoe in.Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 12:26

Re: Active fighters who already deserve the hall of fame
Quite a short time at the top of his game really. Probably due to a combination of a long amateur career and burning the candle at both ends as a pro.Shhhh wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 14:56Yeah even his power seems to have deserted him. At his best he was a top grade fighter. Deserved more big fightsBigdogsnose wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 14:31

That, and he was a piss head.
Use to love his style early on, I remember waking up and watching the Hopkins fight in disbelief at the time. Love the huge powerjab, perfect judge of range and knew when to turn the screw.

That's what I meant by burning the candle at both ends
