Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
Both in their prime.
Re: Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
Spinks outworks Wilder to a violent ko about 8th rd.Not even close.
Re: Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
Ridiculous matchup. Wilder very early KO.

Re: Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
Why is it ridiculous? I mean I think Spinks would be at worst the second best guy Wilder's beat
Artur Szpilka went 9 rounds, Eric Molina 11, Stiverne 12 the first time, Duhaupas 11, faded Arreola 8. I think Spinks is better than all these guys.

Re: Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
Spinks doesn't move well enough to overcome the power and size differential. Wilder too long and strong. DW may not be the most skilled, but he's pretty quick. That's why. Ridiculous may have been too exhuberant a response, I'll grant you that.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 17:44 Why is it ridiculous? Re: Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
Don't really think many of those guys are particularly smooth movers either. Spinks would be a good win for Wilder, easily one of his best. He'd probably do it but it's a fine fight.
Re: Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
He'd be second or third best win for sure. But styles and other attributes make it a short fight IMO.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 17:51 Don't really think many of those guys are particularly smooth movers either. I wouldn't be too surprised if Spinks beat Luis Ortiz tbh, little doubt to me he'd beat Stivy
Agree that Wilder wins
Agree that Wilder wins
Re: Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
Same. I'd give Jinx a fair shot at Luis and pick him over Bermaine.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 17:59 I wouldn't be too surprised if Spinks beat Luis Ortiz tbh, little doubt to me he'd beat Stivy

Spinks by decision or TKO in the mid to later rounds.
Re: Michael Spinks vs. Deontay Wilder
Spinks was levels above Wilder. He would outbox Wilder comfortably, unless he got caught. In any case, he even had enough power and skills to get to Wilder first. So, Spinks would be likely to deal with Wilder.
