Record mix-up

Post by mike.tregubov »

Quite a strange card on June 30, 2013 in Fukuoka (Japan).

Two fighters #504400 and #333957 fought each other twice on the same card. OK, sh*t happens and they felt like doing it again. But on the card and in the record of Hayashida, the win-loss of his opponent (Toyama) is shown backwards. In the first fight it is 7-2-1, and then 6-2-1. Smth is not right here.

This is maybe not a problem of wrong data, but rather faulty data presentation. Just a rare situation that was not accounted for.

There are instances that pros conduct one-day tournament (similar to amateurs). It seems like boxrec engine is not equipped to deal with these cases. Let me give another example: 2011 - November- 30. Klaipeda Amberton Hotel, Klaipeda, Lithuania.

There is a tournament with 4 quarter-finals, 2 semi-finals and a final.

The winner Arvydas Trizno fought 3 times. Let's take a look how is it shown on that day:
His record in the finals is 9-15-2, in the semis - 10-15-2, in the quarters - 11-15-2.

Everything is backwards!!

If you look at his individual page - these 3 fights are also listed backwards. And his incorrect order mistakenly shown on the records of his opponents as well.

I understand that this is not a simple task to fix this. Usually the date of the fight takes care of the record.

But fixing it needs...

Yes I've pointed this out before, there used to be an issue with fights not displaying in the correct order if on the same date, there was a fix but I think they need to manually adjust these fights, its not an automatic correction.
