Sonny liston Age

I wanted to say that the birthdate of Sonny Liston as listed on wikipedia is 1932 and on boxrec is 1930 and certainly both of them are wrong. Sonny Liston didn't even know when he was born himself neither did his parents. It was because he was born in his home or somewhere near Johnson Township St. Francis county, Arkansas and it was not officially recorded and for a long time no one really cared. So as a result Sonny was asked to pick a birthdate himself. According to one of his sisters and recent research by boxing historians Sonny was actually born as early as 1919 or 1920. His sister said that he was born after the The First World war making Sonny over 40 when he fought Ali and over 30 at his pro career debut. There are several articles and post on the internet and videos on youtube about Sonny's actual age. Correct me if i am wrong but i think this could be pretty accurate

This has been done to death by now. 1930 is the most likely year, based on 1930 and 1940 US census data. The linked article here takes it perhaps a bit too far in naming an actual birthday for Liston, but it does prove insight into the issue:

Thanks for the replies. Like wouter said i think he could have been born in 1930 and not in 1919 or 1920the article gives some good points which suggest that.
