My Father Gus Foran fought Paddy Reilly (Manchester) at Blackpool Tower 09/02/1940 NOT Paddy Ryan, this is incorrect. The record has recently been updated calling him Paddy Ryan but this is not right, it mentions Liverpool Daily Post but I myself have been to the Liverpool Central Library to confirm that it is Paddy Reilly in the Daily Post and not Paddy Ryan.
I also have a write up from the West Lancashire Evening Gazette.
