reminds me a bit of oog's fave fighter, sonny conto, who had early top rank fights, then basically disappeared and is down to 1 fight a year on smaller shows. he should still get it on vs joey, who is scheduled for the same card as ababiy btw

I really like Ababiy's style.

Don't know why he's been inactive for nearly 2 years, but such a shame he's missed out on building his career.

Hopefully he'll go far, but I suspect he'll come a cropper if he steps into world class.

I saw some brief clips of him sparring Daniel Jacobs and Ababiy appeared competitive.

Ababiy fought on an IBA show in December and lost, though it doesn't go on his pro record.

It seems like Matchroom dropped him.

There was a video online last year showing Nikita Ababiy at Ryan Garcia's house. I think he was even staying there with the Garcia family. That video's gone now. Ryan Garcia would probably know what's up with him. A couple of months ago he was supposed to have an upcoming fight but that fight vanished as seemingly has Ababiy.
