If we're judging on popularity and fame, then yes. (see Barry McGuigan, Ray Mancini)

If we are asking if he's and ATG, then no. But I expect he'll get in sooner or later.

Tszyu, for instance, whom Hatton sent to the retirement, deserves it more.

Exceptionally well managed career, fun to watch, not HOFer on merit, but he will probably get in because he became a big name, even if he failed badly in his two big fights vs Money and Pac

Yes. He is not what i would call an all time great. However neither are Mancini McGuigan and Arturo Gatti who are all in. The Hall of Fame has been watered down . There are some above mentioned who have gotten in more on the story than the career that they had. The standard has been lowered and based on that information there is a place for Ricky Hatton.

There are guys that are in that weren't as good or about the same. This does water it down.
However, two wrongs don't make a right. It just waters down further when you put more guys in who should not be.

What is sad is that there are still several fighters who are not that should be in. One thing we also have to remember is that when people vote, Hatton is not being compared to fighters who are already in. He is being compared to fighters who are not in.

There are certainly several fighters who are not in that deserve it more. So Hatton should not be in.
Would be surprised if he doesn't though.

When did he ever conquer Vegas? I missed it. I saw him get knocked out twice there though.

As for whether or not he's a Hall of Famer. I mean, he's better than some people that are in there, so I can't fault it much if he ever makes it in, but he didn't have too many really noteworthy wins.

I mean the Floyd fight. The support he had was unbelievable, it was like he was fighting at home. So I‘m saying popularity is a factor for the HOF.

Hatton had not a great resume, but still a good one, which alongside with a popularity factor makes him worthy of induction.

Doesn't he blame the Vegas AirCon for his losses?
