Most Overrated Gym in the UK?

I don't really follow much around gyms/trainers.. What goes on in the gyms etc..

Maybe someone can enlighten me?

Is there a gym you feel is most overrated? and if we're doing this, may as think of an underrated gym too?

Certainly not Gallagher's, to preempt that. So many good fighters out of there yet dude gets hated big.

Not the Ingles either, their record of taking guys from the start is awesome and some good transformations too.

Can't really think of any, there are certainly a lot more underrated ones about.

You could say some of the promotors gyms which only take on the established stars because they can't take credit for bringing them on.

The peacock is spoke of very highly and I suppose that could cause people to say it’s overrated but I’d strongly disagree. It’s a great gym and has turned out some great fighters. Yarde and Dubois are there at the minute and I’d be very surprised if there is a gym in the country that would not want either of those fighters.

Khan gym is definitely over rated by Gallagher and not so much by anyone else who don't really rate it particularly high to begin with. When Gallagher compared Khan's gym to a prime kronk gym it solidified him as an GOAT bellend.

Question from my side (as I don't feel I've got enough detailed knowledge), but how much of the Ingle gym rep is based on what was historically achieved under Brendan rather than what they are achieving now? There are Brook and Galahad, but not sure about up and coming boxers from there - I've got no idea how good someone like Willy Hutchinson is for example?

Willy trained and fought out of Spring Hill in shotts and was a top class amateur. He rates ingles gym highly and is a top prospect. He was pals with a very good friend of mine who also trains at Spring Hill. He could be special. Ingles is supposed to be great with foot work and balance drills.

Peacock is more a facility that anyone can use rather than a stable.
Amateur gyms are the best, Birtley in the North East, Hunslet and Burmantofts in Leeds, I’m sure loads more all over the country. Repton doesn’t count as half their boys come ready made.
Some bad amateur gyms as well, who’ll overmatch their kid just to get them on a home show. My pet hate.

I think any gym ,who can take lads from the beginning to the top ameteur or pro has to be good , and theres lots of gyms /trainers out there who take lads from the start to what you would say just below the top teir , and they have to be good as well , because its not easy for a trainer /gym to take someone to national level unless theres two main ingrediants

1 ,,, a kid with talent
2 ,,, A trainer who knows how to teach and nuture the skills ,

So therefore its safe to say theres a lot of gyms who are under rated ,,, But it still remains who's overated ,, don't know so much its gyms has in trainers and for me its what i call celebrity trainers , the guy who gets the job based on who he knows not what he's produced , because most of these guys have talked themselves into a job , for me the one who stands out here is Ben Davidson , especielly when he s on utube , pointing out the blatant obvious and pretending he's showing the world his great knoledge ,,, I think the Fury fights with Wilder shown this , he failed to see what Stewards nephew seen , and that was Wilder was'nt very good , don't try and be cute and outbox him all the time , cos sooner or later he'll clobber you , the way to beat him was to just simply go out and smash him , for want off better words

I would say that gyms that are in the South of England, tend to get more smoke blown up their arses than the ones up the North if England. Maybe its to do with Media Bias or London centric media

I don't see that at all - in recent years it's been the likes of the Ingles and Gallaghers that have been most prominent in the media, both of them based in the North.
No offence, but I also get really bored of hearing the south of England lumped together, when in reality you're talking about London. For example, Chris Sanigar's track record in Bristol has nearly always flown under the radar despite the successes of the likes of Glen Catley, Dean Francis, Ross Hale, Lee Selby, Lee Haskins etc.
