Great fight. Saldivar is one of my favorite southpaws ever. Gomez would have had a slight size advantage. Saldivar's first title reign I would say Saldivar either SD15 or TKO14, second I would say Gomez UD or cut eye TKO win

Saldivar wins by stoppage , around 12.

El Zurdo de Oro is one of my favorite fighters ever. What a fighter! I don't think after the 8th round that the great Wilfredo Gomez could keep up the pace. He used to get tired by round 10.

Vicente Saldivar would have ate him up in the las 5 stanzas. Saldivar by late KO with Gomez wilting.
