Press Release
MTK Global confirmed that Spencer Fearon has been hired as a full-time analyst for the MTK Fight Night events. Fearon provided his analysis during last month’s Akeem Ennis Brown vs. Philip Bowes bill. He passed the test with flying colors, leading to him becoming a permanent addition to the broadcast team. Alongside commentators Alex Steedman and Barry Jones, Fearon will offer his thoughts and scorecard during upcoming MTK Fight Night cards live on ESPN+ and IFL TV, and he’s delighted with the new role.
Fearon said:
“On a scale of 1-10 I’m an 11!! To be given the opportunity to join ESPN+ as a full time analyst is a mammoth task, but one I would truly relish in, so I’m grateful to my family that is MTK Global. I’m taken a back by the millions of people that have ESPN+. I found the experience last month to be one that brought me immense elation. To be on the ESPN platform sharing and giving insight to the great performances being showcased was amazing. I’m no stranger to the microphone, but on this stage I’m planning to bring a more flavorsome and dynamic fight analysis that the fans can readily partake in. I’m also looking to educate people with the historical comparisons that can be made with fighters of this generation and fighters of the past.”
MTK Global Chief Strategy Officer Paul Gibson added:
“It’s fantastic to have Spencer on board as a regular contributor to our MTK Fight Night events. He’s not only a great historian but a very good boxing analyst. He knows how to read a fight and how to break a fight down. He’s been a boxing insider for a long time and knows these fighters and their back stories, so he will bring a lot to the broadcast.”
Fearon’s first # MTK Fight Night event as a full-time analyst will be on October 18th, as Michael McKinson takes on Martin Harkin, Jay Harris defends his Commonwealth flyweight title against Marcel Braithwaite, Jordan Reynolds makes his professional debut, plus much more.

Great addition...

NOT!
Annoying personality.
Does this mean he's out of Toe2Toe?

I think it’s a good move. He‘s naturally loquacious and extremely knowledgeable + not a yes man.

Probably the most insufferable bell end in the entire sport of boxing.
Will not be bothering with that one.

He comes across as an absolute and utter bell end. I have actively avoided any of his interviews or podcasts for years. One of the worst moves from MTK.

I thought he spoke well on that Ennis-Brown card. Gave measured analysis. However, the constant myth that he is a straight talker needs to be debunked. Just because he comes across all brash and "in ya face" means nothing. He'll shill anything and talks a lot of shite.
Sky no doubt canned him after the false accusation that Oscar Rivas had failed a PED test, added to the fact he defended Dillian Whyte based on the rock solid fact that they are friends and Whyte "comes from the ends". Seems a legit case for the defence.

Cant say I'm a fan of his commentary. Think he compared Huck vs Olafabi to Rocky vs Appollo

he also claimed outright that he saw groves dropped ggg in sparring, but when story came out a couple years later about what actually happened he then claimed that he'd only heard that someone else said it might have happened but he wasnt sure

basically he's not a good commentator/analyst and he's full of sh!t , with blatant lies and a chip on his shoulder, he makes it easy not to like him
if he was reading this he'd undoubtedly think we're all being racist
