Joe Laws starched by Rylan Charlton (video)
Completely exposed by Charlton. He looked like a novice in there. Battered to the floor in a very tough loss. I don't see how he can compete at British level on that showing.
Re: Joe Laws starched by Rylan Charlton (video)
He’s a young boy , needs to fight at lightweight, far to small at weight. He also needs a good trainer he was over in lanzarote having gym wars with guys a lot heavier with no head guard, his trainer calling him on like a stupid kid. I wanna see him make a move with a good trainer as he’s a really nice lad who trains hard

I'm not sure there is much to work with? He looked extremely raw, terrible punch technique with the right hand especially. I agree he needs to be at lightweight and judging by the performance, needs a change of trainer. He doesn't seem to know what's hit him in the still of the video above.JamieM wrote: ↑18 Oct 2020, 18:53 He’s a young boy , needs to fight at lightweight, far to small at weight. That entrance get-up did him no favours at all.

Haney needs to step up and fight Charlton
Re: Joe Laws starched by Rylan Charlton (video)
I had Charlton KO at 10/1
Even in-play, Charlton crippled hom with a hook to the body, they only dropped to 7/1 and i got more on it. The win of the weekend.
Whoever made those odds will be getting their jotters

Laws is so immature, it is comical. Charlton is not a world beater but showed discipline and is solid as a rock.
Re: Joe Laws starched by Rylan Charlton (video)
Good performance from Charlton. Obviously not a respecter of reputations !
Should figure in more good fights with his come forward, all action style

Great to see the likes of Charlton and Leach take their big opportunity- both lads apparently took the Fights at short notice and both moved up in weight .
Charlton works in a care home and Leach works nights in a warehouse ( lives with Mrs and 4 kids ! ) both training as and when they can keeping fit waiting for a phone call.
I was aware of Leach and he appears to have been avoided by people within the sport but may now find himself as the British mandatory at two weights.
Hopefully Eddie gets them signed up and back out Soon giving them more opportunitIes that their effort and dedication deserves - perhaps at their own weight with a little more notice ! .

Was nervous and jittery even before the first body shot hurt him, agree doesnt look like one to manage well in a tough fight and that's what we saw

Laws was a decent boxer in the ams. He’s gotten carried away in the pros.

Laws was a decent amateur, I follow him a bit on his insta and kinda maybe why can’t help liking the guy, he clearly suffers from ADHD but is a good kid. I wrote on one of his videos and from watching that I felt he was never going to win, the sparring was brutal, he needs to be looking at a team who will not allow him to think he needs to brawl to get on tv. Time will tell but not going to write him off just yet

Don’t think it’ll come to many as a huge surprise what happened on Saturday. He’s always looked reckless and loads up too much. That said, he’s used that style and his loud character to get himself out there and get noticed. Him and Charlton had similar records but no-one knew off Charlton before this. For what it’s worth, I thought Charlton looked quite good. Well conditioned and very composed, his combination of left hooks to head then body looked really accomplished. At his natural weight of LWW I hope he makes some inroads.
Joe visited my young uns kickboxing club a couple of time’s and he was really sound.

That's Matchroom all over. Good honest fighters are getting overlooked in favour of so called funny characters like Laws and Dave Allen just because of their personalities. I know it's a business but surely boxing ability should be playing a part over some muppet walking into the ring in a mask calling world champions out.Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑21 Oct 2020, 03:17 Don’t think it’ll come to many as a huge surprise what happened on Saturday. Muppets a bit harsh!! He can obviously come across as a bit brash. Agree with the point though. Not a big fan of joe Gallagher but he made a similar point on an ifl podcast the other day. How many good fighters get so little exposure as matchroom and warren champion a select few.ash.123 wrote: ↑21 Oct 2020, 05:33That's Matchroom all over. Yeah, don't agree with most the stuff Gallagher says but he's spot on with that. Callum Johnson - decent fighter, stepped up to the plate big time to face Beterbiev but in his 30's and a quiet lad so doesn't have the hype behind him others do. Same could apply to Callum Smith - comes across a nice bloke, family man, quiet etc. You can guarantee if he had the pre-fight antics of Bellew etc he'd be marketed a lot better.Bigdogsnose wrote: ↑21 Oct 2020, 07:20Muppets a bit harsh!! I think Tesco is going to cost his fighters opportunities. There’s no way Camp Eddie isn’t put out by some of the things he’s said.

Yeah couldnt agree more. But us british fans have fed that beast... love a pantomime villain. Even prince patel has his own fornicating thread on here!!ash.123 wrote: ↑21 Oct 2020, 10:48Yeah, don't agree with most the stuff Gallagher says but he's spot on with that. Looks very poorly coached.
Re: Joe Laws starched by Rylan Charlton (video)
Never seen him fight but have seen him on ifl TV always comes across as if he's got some sort of disorder or syndrome
Re: Joe Laws starched by Rylan Charlton (video)
