AJ...is who I want to see him fight, I think Ruiz and Parker give him more trouble as they have more power than Usyk but are quick and coordinated enough to hunt him down, AJ powerful but plodding..

Parker is with Matchroom too? Or at leat close to them/dazn. He seems realistic and would be a good match.

Parker vs Usyk good fight , but bad pick for Usyk , Usyk needs to zero in on AJ that doesn't mean he wins , but there is a logic to it, title and big man who may not be able to keep up with constant turning.

• Luis Ortiz is a likely option for Usyk. The Cuban is currently on the PBC’s scrap heap facing journeymen. And Eddie Hearn keeps mentioning his name after every heavyweight bout. He even said he’d try to orchestrate a rematch between Ortiz and Allen.

So a bout with Usyk is not only feasible, but should also be a straightforward victory against an opponent with a preposterously undeserved “fearsome” reputation.

• Joseph Parker is another potential option for Usyk. They could challenge for the vacant WBO title if AJ vacates it to engage in super-fights against Tyson Fury during 2021.

The Kiwi regularly appears on Matchroom cards, so there are no political barriers preventing a world title bout being promoted by Eddie Hearn.

Parker has to face Junior Fa next month though, but that should be a straightforward win.

• There’s an outside chance of Usyk facing the winner of Dubois-Joyce, for the vacant WBO title, with the fight potentially going to purse bids, because I don’t expect Hearn and Wḁṛṛḛn to work with each other to co-promote the bout.

• That said, I have a feeling that Usyk will engage in another stay busy bout against a Chazz Witherspoon type of journeyman opponent for his next outing.

In terms of the other names listed in the poll:

• Wilder still plans on facing Fury next and has promised to file a lawsuit to ensure this happens. He’s also a PBC guy, which means we won’t be seeing him appear on any Matchroom cards unless mega-money is involved. And let’s face it, Usyk isn’t a commercially big name.

• AJ has to face Pulev next and plans to have two bouts against Fury during 2021, which may result in Joshua vacating the WBO title.

If Wilder’s lawsuit is successful in forcing a third Fury bout, which currently seems unlikely, given the fact the immediate rematch clause has expired, then Joshua will almost certainly face Usyk next year. But like I’ve already said, there’s only a remote chance of this scenario playing out.

• Povetkin and Whyte are facing each other next, with the winner hoping to receive a shot at Fury during 2021. Usyk may meet the Russian if he beats the Brit. Whereas Dillian could command bigger paydays facing easier opposition.

Personally-speaking, I wouldn't rule out a third bout between Povetkin and Whyte, but this will depend on what the WBC plans to do with their title.

• Andy Ruiz Jr. will make a comeback against Chris Arreola, with there being talks of him facing Wilder next if The Bronze Bomber's rematch against Fury fails to take place, which will likely be decided by lawyers.

• Michael Hunter received a battering during the late rounds of his defeat against Usyk. And the American has only just broken ties with Matchroom. So this bout seems unlikely, because after all, their first fight wasn’t competitive enough to justify a rematch.

Before Usyk fights one of the big boys he should smash food and peds...you know, a heavyweight diet.

I'd watch him fighting Povetkin-Whyte II winner (Povetkin) in an eliminator for Fury-Joshua winner, but, of course, everything won't be that good. Anyway, he just should fight someone from the top 10.

I think he needs someone just below the top tier next time before going in with the big boys.

I'd love to see him fight Joseph Parker.

Parker would be a great test and it would be a hard fight to call.

I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Ruiz Jr too, but only if Ruiz can be trusted not to eat himself senseless during the build-up.

If Ruiz trained, that would be a hard fight to call too.
