Welterweights: Roberto Duran versus Aaron Pryor, 1981

Post by AntonioMartin »

This fight was just about to take place in 1981 but did not when Pryor's lawyer advised him against signing a contract for it.

I think Duran would figure out a way to beat Pryor in this one, considering he was more seasoned at Welter by this time.

So, who, how and why??

I think Duran would beat him in one sided fashion via either a late TKO or a UD.

Why?

Because he's better.

Duran skills were in another level. Especially, a well focused Manos de Piedra is really very hard to beat, no matter what version of Aaron Pryor comes.
